This is why I never give money to beggars, they're all secretly millionaires.

I gave a dollar to a beggar once and as I was walking away I saw him snort five marijuanas.

That's how you run a country. Saudi Arabia uses its oil money so wisely that even the panhandlers are filthy rich. And they have the freedom to spend the day panhandling. For 50 years.

"In Ayesha's will, there's reportedly a specific request that after she's gone, the government take over the four buildings she owns and kick out those who live there."

I don't...I...huh?

The homeless dude who for 30 years rode his bike, at all times of the year, around my town ended up being a crazy dude who donated all his millions to charities, and not his kids, when he was finally found dead in the park one year. No one was surprised to find out the kids were ticked off not to receive any inheritance and admit that their fighting over his money in the first place was what led to his crazy homeless lifestyle.

Whatever happened to American exceptionalism?

Back in the 30's Americans were some of the best panhandlers in the world, now filthy Saudis are better. Americans just don't take pride in their work anymore.

The properties are filled with poor beggars, who live there for free. I wonder if she was the Beggar Queen and, upon her death, wanted to end the kingdom rather than pass on the torch.

Considering al-Ballad is an up-and-coming historic area, those properties are probably worth money and/or are prime areas for the latest shiny glass tower in Jeddah.

You know, that made me laugh a lot harder than perhaps a sane person should.
