Titan is stockpiling WMD's. We need to do something about it.

geom_00: "The only SHAME is to pretend we have all the answers."

I'm LOVING that line.

Once again, an evolutionist exposes his anti-Christian bias.

I'm religious and love it.

Then again I'm just religious, not a dumbass homophobic fundie.

I should have clarified. Relevant update in bold.

They did it last time...and did it again tonight.

Cool points just went up.

Lousy cutoff of end credits by commercials

[grumble]

I know it's very unlikely but I would enjoy multiple seasons of this.

2014-03-16 10:01:17 PM
Why is science being packaged like it is a religion? Seems the music is right out of Demiles 10 Commandments.

Too short, too many commercials, too superficial. Science isn't going to win the ratings, I'm afraid.  We're screwed. Time to start worshiping trees again, dammit!

Waldo Pepper: Pariah.: He just biatched-slapped the 'God of the Gaps' mentality right in the face.

How?

That line about Science operating on the the edge between knowledge and ignorance, not afraid to admit what we don't know, no shame in that. The only shame is claiming that we have all the answers.

"God of the gaps is a type of theological perspective in which gaps in scientific knowledge are taken to be evidence or proof of God's existence"

Sometimes related to or used to mean similar thing to the argument from ignorance fallacy. Such arguments are popular with the anti-science crowd.

ManateeGag: There's oil on Titan?  INVADE!

I believe you mean LIBERATE!

Operation Titani Freedom!

Methane is highly explosive and they have tons and tons of it, WMDS!

2014-03-16 10:05:48 PM

Grote-Man: "All the oil and natural gas on Earth is just a tiny fraction of what's on Titan."

And in other news today, the United States has declared war on the moon of Titan,

 just stay off Europa

It isn't, Just some people feel their religion is threatened by the comment and equate it to a competitor religion.

nmrsnr: jaytkay: nmrsnr: But it wouldn't have killed them to say "white looking fur."

There's a two-word phrase for "white looking fur."

It's "white fur".

Nope. While white fur certainly is white-looking, a polar bears' fur, while it certainly looks white, is actually clear.

Which you would have known I already said if they didn't cut off my original comment that started this whole discussion lol

not much of a slap.  Do you accept the same reasoning from a creationist or someone who believes in another theory vs what was presented in the show.
