Man this teared me up. As an amateur photographer who has been lucky enough to do professional shots on occasion with beautiful professional models this is so wonderful.

Good on everyone involved.

Smart PR move for the company.

That's truly awesome.

Was I the only one that first thought Wet Seal was some sort of concrete sealer?  I wonder what THAT photoshoot would look like...

Especially after that big fine last year for firing African American employees for looking insufficiently Aryan.

1. Great marketing campaign.
2. The "dust" cliche grinds my gears. If you're actually sat at your computer weeping after reading something like TFA, you may need mood stabilisers like lithium or similar.

It's a nice story.  I'm just glad Wet Seal turns out to be "casual women's sportswear, accessories and other related items" and not the boutique fetish-wear shop it sounds like.

I can't say I ever 'weep,' but I've been known to get just a little teary over even really trivial shiat from time to time, almost out of nowhere.  But it's not like my mood even shifts that much.  Usually just a little pang of emotion, then a little eye sting, then gone and everything's back to normal again.

Other times, even during big stuff.. nothin'.  I dunno.

I know there are some here who would hit that

Lululemon and A&F fire back at their own customers for being too fat.  Wet Seal puts a Down's kid in its ads.

Who has the branding problem?

Met Karrie and her mother when they visited LA for the Wet Seal photo shoot and Oscar Red Carpet gifting.  Karrie is a very charming and determined young lady and her Mom is a sweet and loving human being who is looking out for her youngest daughter.  They are genuine and unassuming and deserve the big breaks and kudos coming their way.

I also weep on the card aisle, during certain commercials and many movies. I completely avoid watching the extreme home makeover show (is that still on?) due to the level of dehydration I experience. Sometimes I get misty-eyed over dead animals on the side of the road and I ALWAYS cry at weddings. Mr. MMM finds my tender heart endearing. He also realizes the tears dry quickly, and I'm right back to the grind of ripping out hearts for a living. Lithium? No thanks. Sometimes a good cry is the only thing keeping me sane.

OK, I'll be that guy.  It was this girl's dream to be objectified and this wish was granted by the graces of a company running a smart PR campaign and catering to the sympathy of strangers.

Kinda cool?  Fine.  Beyond that, how is this not at best just a nice bit of fun for all involved?
