So.
That plane, not found yet.
/ends thread

2014-03-15 06:20:48 PM
I'm sure it will turn out eventually, like on fire transiting the dome of St. Peter's Basilica or someplace.

2014-03-15 06:20:51 PM
Okay, but what about the rest of the plane?

2014-03-15 06:20:52 PM
Come on. If a 777 landed somewhere, odds are somebody would have known it was landing and questioned it. That's a big plane. You don't just touch one of those down in a dinghy strip. These are almost entirely monitored sites because of their size. Is another airport in on the conspiracy?

I have heard "for parts" theory throw around, but don't used airplane parts need providence? I mean you don't want components from a crashed jet ending up on the market. Besides, its going to be a real pain in the ass to unload any of it with all the attention.

A wild 24-esque "Nuke Trojan" would be more probable, but still very far from plausibility.

My guess is that it landed at SpongeBob Int'l Airport.

2014-03-15 06:24:35 PM
And 95% of those can probably be ruled out, because if an unidentified plane flew into their airspace, they'd shoot it the fark down.

Is Bikini Atoll in the possible range, though?  I thought that was too far east.

Where has the flight gone? Stay tuned for yet another theory disguised as real news and journalism!

The runway is several thousand miles long

I'm predicting that "landed" really means "nose-dived into the ocean". Could be a suicide by airplane. Pilots have done that before.

Has the island of Yamatai been ruled out?  According to this documentary, the ancient sun queen Himiko had some issues with people sailing/flying/landing near her island.

How could that possibly be? Isn't technology like radar, transponders and ACARS etc on the market to find "missing" planes?

No. A train is missing. Pay attention.

Which is the darnedest thing. It was a non-stop red-eye from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing and the train just up and disappeared from the track. Most likely something like this happened:

Landed at one of those airports?  Yeah, right.  That would mean the Reptians didn't use alien technology to snatch it out of the air.

/more likely, it needs to be snatched off the ocean bottom, but that is the boring answer.

The plane is on land.  60% of the passengers are alive.  Phase 2 will be carried out next week.

Until i see some realistic evidence i am standing by the theory that there was someone on that plane that the Bilderbergers/New World Order/etc....wanted dead.  Do not think for a second that when you put the 200+- wealthiest people on the planet in charge that a single plane and a few hundred lives had any meaning to them.

and learned him some schooling?

as long as we're scavenging, why not interview steve irwin for his perspective on which passengers would've been eaten first in their desperate attempt to save their lives (well, at least be the one who crosses the sharky bridge gruff after "well, you just ate that guy, i'm not gonna stay here for an hour while you get hungry again, so help me across, you'll work off some of those calories, and tadaa, the next guy over there in the plane is full of proteins.  best diet ever man...  stick to it, one day even you could be a dolphin with teeth as shiny as osteen's..."

Why would you turn off the comms and fly for hours and hours off course first when you could just push forward on the controls.

2014-03-15 07:10:51 PM
Would it have had to land on a runway at all? No chance it could have landed on a deserted stretch of highway or flats or some similar place? It wouldn't be especially safe, but if you're going to commandeer a 777 and fly it several thousand miles off-course for who knows what reason, safety probably isn't the biggest consideration for you.

This whole story is so insane. None of the possible explanations make any sense. Though in a way I think the families have it worse than the passengers -- whatever happened to the passengers, it's most likely over. The way this thing is panning out, their families may not find out what actually happened for decades, if ever.
