I would be more interested in a marathon for Metallica songs, personally.

CSS: When I was a kid, a local radio station that was transitioning to an oldies station from more modern pop/rock decided to play "Revolution no. 9" from the Beatles's White Album in 24 hour rotation. At 11 years old, it was the creepiest thing I'd ever heard at that point.

/I've since come to appreciate it as an experimental classic.

From LA Times
October 18, 1996

Several Angelenos report that while heading north they heard a mysterious radio station outside Fresno that plays nothing but "I Heard It Through the Grapevine" by Creedence Clearwater Revival.

No commercials, no traffic reports, no deejays. Just "I Heard It Through the Grapevine" over and over on KZZC (FM-104.9). OK, we know the stretch of I-5 on the way to Bakersfield is called the Grapevine but . . .

Ear-witnesses said via the Internet that the Clearwater takeover dates back at least to Christmas, with one brief respite around Easter when KZZC had a mini-marathon devoted entirely to the Eagles' "New Kid in Town."

Some friends and I ran into this station while it was doing this. If I remember, it went on for 18 Months or so. They were trying to sell the station and had to have something on the air as a placeholder.

I am the whitest of geeky, uncool white guys, but for some reason I enjoy Nelly's stuff.  I'll still turn up Country Grammar and roll with the windows down if I hear it.

Also, I thought the duet he did with Tim McGraw, of all people, was pretty cool.
