Easy fix, put her on a politician's security detail and see how safe he feels when a 6' 5" 300 lbs dude tries to fark them up.

/Does it really matter anymore when all they seem to be able to do is pump old woman and men reaching for canes in pick-ups?

Damn it! I even proofed it twice

pump them full of lead.

/Need another coffee.

omeganuepsilon: I'm all for equal treatment under the law, but there's no way she's out-wrestling belligerent drunks or other hardened criminals unless she's had extensive training in martial arts, and even then she's at an extreme disadvantage if she ends up grappling with people.

It doesn't matter.  They're just going to shoot them anyway.

Like I went on to say, if they fired her, but let all the other wastes of oxygen go, then good on her for getting rewarded.

I am 5'5 and 140 lbs soaking weight.  I have had boxing and some martial art training and all of it helped me in life being a little guy, especially my stint as a manager at Pat Obriens on Bourbon street.

Size and weight do matter, one of my martial art's instructors told me years ago" Your strong, your quick, but your size while a great strength is your greatness weakness, if you gauge someone to have 20 or more lbs on you and a longer reach(which is most people) then grab a stick, a bottle, a chair,  hit them and haul ass".  This was from a Green Beret who wasn't much bigger than I was.

While I am sure there are some 4'7 bad ass women and men out there they are few and far between and a 5'8 185 lb drunk would make short work out of them, mass can and does matter.

In the bar business smaller bouncers are always the one who gets farked with the most.  She was an accident waiting to happen which is why they only used her on safe details, hence the no full time work, and she was too short to be a crossing guard.

WDFark think for a second: weirdneighbour: WDFark think for a second: CSB:

When I went through my police academy my squad leader was a 4'11" female who was already hired on the force. Tough chick and from what I've heard kicking ass on the street at her agency so if you can pass the training and do the job who gives a crap.

How many other woman squad  leaders of her stature  like that, or was she the only one?  Kicking ass? really?  Shooing dope smokers away from alleys?  Seriously, I drove cab years back on night shift, saw lots of bar fight and cop interaction, women cops always tossed around, sorry, size(not just gender) counts.

Size absolutely is a significant factor in hands on interactions...along with strength, speed, and agility but if you think size is the only determining factor in winning a fight then you are naive about hands on situations or as it is called in law enforcement..."defensive tactics" which a large part is based off both judo and krav maga. Why? Because they are fighting systems built upon you and your oppenen's size don't matter as you learn to use their size bigger or smaller than you against them.

And really is she kicking ass? Really really? Really. I know which zone in the county she is assigned to on patrol and have even been to some of her scenes. Sooo...if you want to keep basing your understanding of defensive tactics based off watching from the sidelines as a cab driver go ahead. I'll just keep mine based off my real world experience and training.

damn try this again
I am just commenting on what I saw, not disrespecting, The women cops weren't taken as serious as the male cops, nothing about tactics, just were not as respected. (and sorry, but they were bumped around)

/nothing against women cops
// was given a break once by one 'cause I was so close to home

ZAZ: I assumed this was out of California, but Michigan is apparently equally weird. The Elliott Larsen Civil Rights Act of 1976 (as amended) enumerates the protected categories in employment law: "religion, race, color, national origin, age, sex, height, weight, or marital status."

So in theory a 500lb person who is 4'2" and 85 years old could sue when they didn't get hired and actually have a chance to prevail?  wtf...
