With so many school systems having to make up lost days due to snow/cold/whatever, I wonder how many kids will actually HAVE Spring Break...

Meh, come down here and see firsthand what happens when a bunch of teens get cut loose from mommys apron strings for the first time and end up surrounded by booze, drugs and a bunch of "friends" egging them on. Some of them don't need a kennel, they need shock collars bolted on till they sober up

Question: Do the non-detained spring breakers get to pee on the locked up ones?

They should throw in free spay and neuter services for the ones that get locked up.

The redneck riviera is pretty darn nice.  White sand beaches, there's state parks with beaches, lots of fishing boats and great seafood.  I went in October, crowds and prices were pretty low and the weather was warm comparatively.  I can't imagine going in late June, July or August.

I find it odd whenever someone submits a link about something that is happening in one specific part of the country (or world) but the article is from a site or newspaper nowhere near there. This seems to be an article about spring break in Florida from a Minnesota newspaper's website.

"Reny Jose went missing early March 3 after witnesses said he took LSD the previous evening at a beach house. Officials have been searching for him since."

That happened to me once.

They're still looking.

Meanwhile, in Florida we have our spring break early so that we don't have to deal with the drunk northerners passing out on the beach.

That kind of treatment costs extra around here.

I went to Pensacola for a spring break. And I met a Navy Pilot at a bar.

He said doing Tequlia shooters would put hair on my chest.
It did...his hair..my chest.

What's with the under armour gloves? Are those cops trying out for wide receiver?

Ahh Pensacola, where the military graduation weekend/memorial day and one of the lgbt parties in the south, are are hold the same weekend.  Almost if they, gasp, planned it that way.

So do these cops prevent any actual crime, or are they just there to enforce petty bullshiat? I'm guessing it's the latter.

Probably there more for prevention than anything. Unless you think we don't need any cops at a beach crowded with 21 year old drunks and frat folk. Everything should go swimmingly, right.

Panama City Beach is an awful place. A ghost town most of the year, and a clusterfark during spring break. The locals appeared miserable and complained about the influx of dumb drunken children. When I went, all I saw were 16-20somethings all from the surrounding states; AL, MS, GA, LA. The older folks are preying on the younger folks and any young chicks out after dark are bound to get farked or bound. If you have kids, do not ever let them go there during spring break.
