FreakyBunny: Fark her. Who the fark chains up a dog and leaves it outside overnight, or even for long stretches of the day. Little thing didn't even have a chance. For 20,000 years dogs have been bread to be social animals. They need to be with their people. She should prosecuted to the full extend of the law Did I say fark her?

spman: Uh, do they do things differently in Australia? Who keeps their dog chained up to a dog house outside in 2014 besides white trash? Granted, I don't live in a bad neighborhood, but I would fully expect that if I left my purebred pug outside unattended for any length of time, chain or not, my dog would be in the back of someones car getting sold for a couple hundred bucks within the hour.

Every single part of that paragraph is infuriating to every type of person. Good job.

I know it's not the right one but I couldn't find the far side with a big snake that has a leash hanging out it's mouth (which I'm sure exists).

Close enough?

SundaesChild: She should have kept the snake.  It's already on a chain so she can take it for walks.  Er, slithers.

Too slow; I'd attach the other side of the chain to my Buick, and see how many miles it would take to make a hatband.

ben_reddy: wraith95: 8 inches: I'm sure I'll be lambasted for this, but why don't they kill the snake?  They've caught it, it's a killer, and is near the top of the food chain - what benefit is there to releasing it back in to the wild?  Sure, it may kill other small "vermin", but it's a dangerous predator with no real redeeming value (in my opinion).

Any rational explanation would be welcomed.  Hippie tree-hugger responses will be ignored.

It's hardly dangerous. It killed a dog the size of a squirrel in an odd situation. Why should a 50 year old animal get a death sentence for eating a morsel of food that was practically left out on a silver platter?

Well, there you go - I'm 50 years old, and if an animal took my stuff and it was left out there absolutely on a silver platter, it's mine to do with. In a predator-kill-predator world, it sucked to be the dog, and it sucks to be a snake on a chain. Wait for it to shiat out a chain end, padlock the two ends together, and watch the world's first biological Slitheryn Hogawart's train set. All aboard the "Ouroboros Express!"

Or, take the whole assembly and go fish for a crocodile. I don't see why snakey should get a pass on experiencing the whole "circle of life" thing firsthand.

Cut the snake open, and Bingo, have the dog back.

Or whatever the dog's name was.

If the dog was one of those yappy little ankle biters, I'm having a tough time feeling bad.
