Don't knock it, subby. There is good money in peddling wild conspiracy theories.

So who initially registered the domain? BBC Trending has not been able to confirm the person's identity so far.

Sounds like someone sprung for the private registration fee...smart. He/she needs to put a redirect to here

Yeah.  Old people just don't understand the "new media" like they should, and they tend to over react and lash out.

I seriously cannot understand the coverage over this. A plane took off. It went the wrong direction. It never landed at its destination. It farking crashed in the ocean! It didn't fly to the god damn moon as a galactic human trafficking operation. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills talking to people about this.

Right. I'm pretty sure Disney would shut that down IMMEDIATELY. (The redirect, not the Lost page)

A few years ago there was a Super Bowl ad that included a person punching a koala puppet.

www.animateit.net

My partner quickly bought up punchakoala.com in case the ad took off in popularity.  No buyers, but hey, it was only $5.

Were you THERE?!?!?

You don't know, man.  You don't know.

That plane totally could have slipped through a dimensional rift torn open by the nerds at CERN who were making anti-matter for the Illuminati.  They've ALWAYS had their all-seeing eye on that part of the world with its heroin, transvestites and cheap video-recording gadgets.

Maybe you should think about this sort of thing before passing judgment.

You know, as far as plane disappearances go, this one is the disappeariest. So the pub is understandable.

Hey everybody, someone call the Malaysians, Chinese, Vietnamese, etc to call off their search and rescue operations, it doesn't matter!   Barry Lyndon's Annuity Cheque solved the mystery by concluding the plane crashed somewhere in the ocean.

Why it crashed, where it crashed and why its evaded a search by numerous nations over the past week is a non-story according to Barry Lyndon.  Don't worry about it - it'll all sort itself out!

This is certainly in bad taste but profiteering from tragedy is hardly rare.

I'd rather see outrage over the guy who jacks up bottled water prices during a hurricane than over a domain name.

It's probably waiting on the tarmac in Atlanta.

Anyway, I can't bash a person for being an opportunist in the matter. Even if it was all a ruse, it's still entertaining to see people who swing open the door that opportunity knocks on, only to find the champion of all ass kicking contests waiting.

You would seem to lack a certain amount of imagination.  Today the news is that the plane was following waypoints way past airports that it could have safely landed at.  It was being flow by navigating not just randomly.  This alone should raise a little bit of curiosity.

Someone did not steal a 777 because they wanted to start some third world drug running or freight business.

You would not fly a course if you had plans to crash it into the see for (insert religion - political cause etc)

You do not blow it up without taking credit.

You now have a plane that is of no use as a plane that can actually land and takeoff any place in the world with out being set upon by police or military -- 200 some citizens from various political jurisdictions,  probably a plan that may or may not work to land somewhere.

To land and preserve the plane you need a hard runway about 5000 ft long - and to take off you will probably need a longer runway plus several tons of kerosene.  Plus you have kidnap victims What would those be worth to their various countries?  What would be the outrage if you disposed of them.

You are probably correct and it crashed into the sea - but this is way different than any thing like this that has ever happened.  You are not even curious about motives or objectives.  The thing didn't blow up and it didn't get lost and it didn't just continue flying until it ran out of fuel because everybody went to sleep.

I'm curious enough to follow this story.

Did the plane undergo spontaneous massive existence failure?

This had to be mentioned or asked before and should be considered with all appropriate possibilities.

New twist to this story. Now there are reports that there is data that suggests that this plane was deliberately flown to some islands in the Indian Ocean.
