Damnit, CBS News.  This is not what meth does.  This is what a meth lab explosion does.  You're a  news organization, not Fox News.  Try to remember that.

These Faces of Meth slideshows show up all over the place.  And they are just rehashed versions of all of the others that came before them.  It's the same people over and over.  I'm pretty sure I've seen every one of these before.  Doesn't stop me from looking, though, which I guess is the point.  Lots of clicks.

You know, something about drug use is interesting. I've heard that the first time you try heroin, it's like your best orgasm ever x1000. And essentially, it dulls that sense, and you keep doing it trying to get that feeling again but never do.

Ever think that the brain and body are mistaking the sensation of drug use for the sensation of sex? And that the desire to use essentially replaces the human instinct to reproduce? And that because that instinct is so strong that some people cannot overcome it?

I ask this seriously. I really don't know much about brain chemistry as it relates either to sex or drug use and whether they could be connected or not.

It's the comments page subby. I know that's scary (especially in the politics tab), but you'll get used to it.

I wouldn't blame that on the meth. Obviously she's suffering from RPS Syndrome

Methamphetamine is not an "illegal drug", it's just a controlled substance. Marijuana is more illegal.

Oh, if only that were true.

I'd like to see a certain spot of town set aside for meth and crack addicts. Give them all the free meth and crack they want - as long as they're adults. Take away any babies they have.

Time will then take care of the problem.

/Not realistic? What about those apartments for alcoholics (in San Francisco) that are actually working?

How many time and in how many places are these b/a photos going to be published? The people who do will do meth aren't going to be swayed by them. Meth users have an "oh fark it" outlook on life.

Um...I believe meth did that..in an indirect way. Sooo in truth, they are correct. Being caught in a meth lab explosion is a devastating effect.

Stepping up the propaganda to make up for society's tolerance of MJ, I see.

They should do a before/after with alcohol abusers.

Not saying meth is ok. But 99% of the people that use it don't turn out like this.

I've been posting ^^THIS^^ here for years.  Except I call it the Crack Farm.  If ya wanna do crack, go live on the Crack Farm where you can smoke it 24hrs a day...you can crack yourself to death if that's what you want.  And there's gonna be plenty of birth control so nobody will be having any crack babies.

If you wanna go back to society they'll clean ya up...but most residents will stay, because hey - crack.

/although this does sound as if those places would end up like the homeless internment camps shown on Deep Space 9, y'know...the one where Cisco pretends to be Gabriel Bell.
