This could be:
A) True.
B) A convenient story concocted by the reporter, perhaps at the behest of one Rupert Murdoch.
C) A convenient story planted by the monarchy, perhaps in exchange for more inside information.

We'll probably never know.

FTFA: Clive Goodman, a former royal reporter at the shuttered tabloid News of The World

I'd say you can probably forget about (A).

You know you're in a weird place when "disaffected valet" is a real guy.

I can kinda believe it.

Diana hated the royal family.

She might have been  a little young and naive when she married, but ultimately she was a spoiled rich girl who thought being a princess was going to be all glitz and glamor. She didn't realize that marrying into that kind of high-profile dynasty actually comes with a shiatload of rules. Fergie suffered from the same problem.

My initial reaction to the first sentence was, "What?  She wasn't married to Clive Goodman"

/no coffee
/terrible sentence structure

Now little Miss Applebottom will get to suffer the same fate after she spawns some more royals.

I dunno, the Duchess seems to be handling it all extremely well. Other than titillating the menfolk a couple times early on with some windblown upskirts, I can't remember hearing about a single gaff since she joined the family. And I've seen numerous appearances thus far with the Queen and Camilla and they looked to be getting along just fine.

And she's already provided an heir and that went without a hitch.

All in all, looks like she knows how to play the game and she's doing well.
