Article fails to mention, he's only talking about Cotton based laundry loads.

Polyester fabrics aren't good for burning, and do not break down in the flowerpot.

That read like

1) it's very flammable so use it to start fires

2) - 7) use it to make very flammable stuff

8) Put it outside for birds to do flammable nests.

TV's Vinnie: unlikely: We don't. My girlfriend started making us save it a couple years ago and. Ow she uses it to stuff little creepy stuffed animals she makes for kids. It is kind of awesome.

I'm sure that every time the kid hugs their doll and they get enveloped in a grey cloud of fine lint particles that shoot of from between the doll's cloth fibers, this won't lead a few years later to severe breathing issues. Nope.

It is entirely possible that is her long-term plan.

zepher: Since my girlfriend doesn't bother to clean out the lint trap when I go to check it there is a doll sized quilt in there.
So I suppose I could use it as doll accessories.

/and then she wonders why it takes so long to dry clothes.

Twenty years with the same gal, we have the same conversation every couple of weeks.

Dry's not working.

Clean out the lint trap.

I already did.

[I pull out Gozillint]

...

It's comforting in a we're-growing-old-and-going-to-die-in-a-fire-together kind of way.

I reminds me of that old Nickelodeon game show were the actors from All That and the other Nick shows had to guess what the contestant does, and if they couldn't the contestant won a prize. I  remember there was one were a girl made paper out of dryer lint.  I always wanted to try it, but never did.

"small pet bedding" A GF tried this with my gerbils. One got wrapped up in some long hairs (wonder where those came from?) and almost lost a leg.
