Every time there's an article about an unusual illness I always skip reading from where they name the illness and read the wikipedia entry on the disease and then go back to the article.

"Unusually cheerful demeanor and ease with strangers" and caused by the deletion of about 26 genes.

fark! If scientists can just identify which gene you can delete that causes the unusually cheerful demeanor and ease with strangers and get rid of it without causing the cognitive disabilities and cardiovascular problems I'll pay them whatever the hell they want to obliterate the fark out of that gene in me.

I would love to have an unusually cheerful demeanor and ease with strangers that's not just the mask and show I have now.

Oh, I remember reading about this disease. Oliver Sacks wrote a whole bunch about it in Musicophilia. Interesting stuff, apparently these people are often very eager to make music as well.

DarnoKonrad: Some billionarie should weaponize this as an airborne virus.

Do you really want hypersocial strangers constantly talking to you about stuff you don't care about?
