Sybarite: Look for an envelope at the bottom.

That just means that someone put an envelope at the bottom of the half ton of garbage.

The toughest thing about cazadors is hitting the sons of biatches.  Well that, and their venom.  The hard part about cazadors is their evasiveness, and venom, oh and their coming at you in numbers.

So the toughest thing about cazadors is their evasiveness, venom, numbers, and stealthiness...

Shooting them in the wings helps sometimes, as long as you've got enough VATS.

They're the main reason I couldn't finish hardcore mode. Lost 4 companions to those farkers. Having to haul my overencumbered ass to a shelter got annoying really quickly.

That is something I don't get, all the Cazador hate. Sure they were a pain in the ass at anything below level 16, just like Death Claws and Fire Geckos, but once you maxed out your weapon skill, had decent armor, took the Bloody Mess perk and for me Sniper, Commando, and Better Criticals they were a piece of cake. Actually Fallout New Vegas became pretty easy after about level 16, what with the Action Boy/Girl perks.

The way you play with companions in hard core is to either max out your charisma, thereby giving your companions the most hp and damage, or to just leave your companions behind. Then you loot what ever dungeon you are crawling through, stash the stuff in a container, go get your companions, and load them up like pack mules.

Yeah but try being an unarmed specialist and fighting them. You can kill the first one easy but the other three are going to kill you fast.

Dumping all of your intelligence points into strength was the best way to play New Vegas. The conversation options alone made it worth it.

hmm... i never use VATS, so a lot of that stuff didn't help much... but, the game got easy the moment you picked up a riot shotgun and got the 2 shotgun perks (shotgun surgeon reducing DT and that shotgun knockdown perk, also good with better criticals and anything that increases chances of criticals).  then, just shoot whatever, within 3 shots, it's on the ground.  whatever it is.  then you can just hit it with melee, keep shotgunning away, plant grenades and mines, or whatever.  get creative, it takes forever for someone to get up. i made death challenges, and then ultimately decided to put down the shotgun, or switch to a hunting shotgun to allow for the potential of getting hit.

So when we find out which scumbag company did this, can we seize every asset they have and imprison their entire executive staff and board of directors?  Or just give them a measly fine, pat them on the head, and say "do better next time"?

One company?

I'm pretty sure every company in that area is doing this, and the only way to stop it would be to tag the socks to identify which goes where, and then offer a fine of a million bucks for each improperly disposed of sock.

The unfortunate thing is that since this little stash has been discovered, these scumbag companies will probably resort to burning the damn things.  That should make North Dakota a real wonderful place.

Remember boys and girls, the oil industry (the previous owners of said radioactive filter socks) cares deeply for your well being and safety and if you dare doubt that then you're probably some uneducated rube who just doesn't understand the deep complexities of oil and gas drilling.

Boy you sound like one of those socialist that are always poking their nose into what a FREE PERSON can put in their shuttered gas station.  Today you tell me no low level radioactive oil field waste.  Well if you take that away, next I'll have to pump out all that toxic water waste from the old gas tanks or stop using the shop portion for bear baiting matches.  Typical lib, putting government regulation in the way of true job creators.

Gunlock said tests done last week on the material show it is low-level radium that emits "big weak" particles that don't penetrate skin, but would be hazardous to inhale or ingest.

Tests of the Noonan material registered five times the background rate of naturally occurring radiation.

Oh, so, yeah, it's news, but not big news. 5x the natural background background is about 15 millisievert per year, or about one and a half dental x-rays. Yeah, It's not a good thing, but it's not the end of the world.

2014-03-14 12:32:26 PM
He said the people of Noonan are not at risk as long as the building is secure. The building has broken windows and old unsecured doors.

So, then, panic?
