This story is two days old.  (http://www.scmp.com/news/china/article/1447159/video-chinese-ridicu le- malaysias-recruitment-witch-doctor-track-missing )

The news about this story is haywire.  Trust none of it.  Every last iota is bullshiat.

They mention a magic boat and a flying carpet. If regular aircrafts and boats cannot currently locate the plane, then surely the magic boat and flying carpet should be aiding the search effort.

If they have these resources, why are they not being used where they can help the most? More proof it is an inside job.

AverageAmericanGuy:   Nice to see the Muslim lady participating in this pagan ritual.

Doesn't matter if you're Christian, Muslim, Buddhist or other, SE Asians are some of the most superstitious folks around - referring to the Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Philippines region.

People may not believe in certain things, but they do tend to atleast pay some heed to the idea(s) of angry ghosts, baby ghost/spirits, numerology, feng shui, fortune tellers and witch doctors.   It's a mixture of Malay and Chinese beliefs.

Isn't hiring witch doctors unislamic?

After reading Farkers' hypotheses in multiple threads the past few days, I didn't think this story could get sillier. Thank you, witch doctor dude.

Sharknado is my favorite theory so far.

So you're saying bats brought down the plane? That would take a lot of flying rodents... but I suppose it's possible...

I hadn't thought about that. As a side note, the new Julian Cope release will be named Mammalia Asphyxia GOD Machine.
