America has some of the dumbest criminals in the world, I've always been proud of that.

Well, at least show some professional courtesy from 1crook to another.

Only because WalmMart requires its employees to properly document all gun sales.

He may in a few years when the American public realizes what a hipocritical, corrupt, butt nugget he is.

2014-03-13 02:19:16 PM
Well I mean "Eric Holder" isn't a particularly memorable name, and someone running a shiatty tax scam probably hadn't heard of him.

2014-03-13 02:19:45 PM
To be fair though, I doubt any Walmart employee knows who Eric Holder is.

2014-03-13 02:20:45 PM
And now the fraudsters are going to jail...right where Holder should be.  I don't know why, I just believe everything I read in comments sections of conservative websites.

Maybe he does work at Walmart and that's why the administration is so eager to raise the minimum wage.

Seems like you could do worse than a guy that repeats

"I don't know:"  "I can't recall."  "I was not aware."  "I don't know:"  "I can't recall."  "I was not aware."

At least go with a different first name - say, Peter or perhaps Richard.

The same Benedict Arnold that sold West Point to the hated British?

Pro tip: If you're going to try your hand at identity thieving, avoid using the name of the top law enforcement officer in the country.

D..did..did Fox just use a meme?

One of the returns used the identity of Eric Holder, who does not work at Wal-Mart.

Thank goodness we have Fox to keep us infromed about such difficult questions.

I was generally impressed with the snark demonstrated in that article, especially this gem: "One of the returns used the identity of Eric Holder, who does not work at Wal-Mart.  "

scotchcrotch: To be fair though, I doubt any Walmart employee knows who Eric Holder is.

I've worked for Walmart.  Some employees are idiots, many are not.  I knew a young woman with an MBA who worked part time in softlines, a former college professor who'd moved home to care for his elderly mom, a professional photographer who made a decent living but worked at Walmart for the insurance, etc.  An awful lot of college (and even grad) students, most of whom weren't stupid.  Based on my experience, you've got better odds of having an interesting conversation with the average Walmart employee than with the average Walmart customer.

...I never did run into Eric Holder, though.

Yet there is no problem having a random person off the street vote as Eric Holder in his district.

A friend used to work at Walmart. He's smart, and he knows who the AG is, but he lacks a college degree and his work experience was obsoleted by the internet. He hated the job because most of the customers and employees were scum of the earth.

Wow, that is some weapons grade stupid right there.

My county has a Donald Duck registered. He's a real person, not much younger than his more famous namesake. Goes by "Don".

I dunno if I'd classify that bunch as the smartest.

You'll never know about the smartest ones, I guess.  If they're smart.

Defraud somebody out of four thousand dollars, spend a year in jail.
Defraud everybody out of four billion dollars, get bailed out by the same people you are defrauding and then get a promotion.

Wouldn't it be nice if they prosecuted all identity theft cases like they did this one? Wouldn't it also be nice if they investigated every murder as though it was a cop that got killed?
