"Is this just math that you do as a Republican to make yourself feel better, or is this real?"

Karl Rove is a strategist, not a true believer. The Republicans need more like him and fewer like Rand Paul.

Why not fewer of both?

A former Bush strategist attempting to amend for his past? Why does it feel like I saw this movie already?

Karl Rove seems worried that some Republicans might be celebrating prematurely after the party's triumph in Tuesday's special congressional election in Florida.

Well, considering how WRONG he was about election results in real time during the Presidential reason, I take this to mean that the Florida election WAS worth celebrating. I mean, if someone is as wrong as Rove is, you just have to play opposite day with all of his statements, even the ones where he seems to agree with you, unfortunately.

I read that as "voice of treason".

Has he finally conceded?

Superjew: Why not fewer of both?

The "OMG THIS SPECIAL ELECTION MEANS XYZ!" nonsense over the past couple of days has been a particularly egregious example of how desperate political pundits are to find anything to blather on and speculate about.

cc_rider: I read that as "voice of treason".

You read it correctly.  Subby made a typo.

This isnt him being the voice of reason.  This is him saying "you should give money to my PAC since you cant win screaming Obamacare ooogah boogah!  and hope to win.  Please instead enrich me.

Republicans attacking a candidate who maximized shareholder value?

FTFA: "The Republican campaign also understood that Ms. Sink's record mattered. GOP ads pointed out that as president of NationsBank (now Bank of America BAC +0.23% ) in Florida, she collected $8 million in salary and bonuses while thousands of bank jobs were cut."

He's no Stephanie Pratt, that's for sure.
