Wooly Bully: Blaming Obamacare for Sink's loss is like blaming cowardice for Kerry's loss. The "big lie" technique has been proven effective; news media should be working to counteract that instead of reinforcing it.
xria: The "big lie" technique is keeping US national elections competitive, and thus the news media are happy to help it any chance they can to get those cheap and easy hours of political horse race stories in for months at a time.
Lackofname: Isn't this a repeat?Isn't this a repeat?
grumpfuff: Is it just me, or does Politico get derpier with each day?
verbaltoxin: grumpfuff: Is it just me, or does Politico get derpier with each day?Politico shifted into full concern trolling back in 201207.
A Cave Geek: I go back and forth on what kind of derp to expect from the GOP. I really don't expect them to put up any kind of intelligent debate. I really DO expect full-bore derp. The "47%/deathpanels/legitimaterape/bindersofwomen" kind of derp that the GOP has so lovingly crafted for the idiots of society. What I'm not sure of is how the D's will respond. If they "play it cool" like Obama largely did, I expect a reasonably wide D margin. If they fight back and go on the offensive, the far left will be more satisfied, and happier with them, but I think the margin of win would be narrower.I'm not sure. Being the adults in the room has worked at least reasonably well for them lately...
Witty_Retort: Isn't that district like 55-60% R, and they only won by 2% and didn't even get 50%?And that is bad for Democrats?
