The bar association performs a professional evaluation of every nominee. It is part of what they do.

"work ethic concerns, lack of professionalism in the workplace, and questions concerning the propriety of conduct toward women"

Hey, I just discovered that I can become an SC judge. Neat.

Unqualified, clearly questionable, political appointment?

A professional and highly partisan review. Being Hawaii, I'm surprised that any judge wouldn't pass the highest libby test,

I just wanted to clarify that it isn't unusual, but, rather, is expected for the bar association to offer a review of judicial nominees. The content of that review I can't speak to based on the substance of the article. That said, what does accusing the nominee of sexual harassment of women in the workplace, as the subtext suggests, have to do with political affiliation? If such a claim is false, that would be character defamation.
