Sproles to Philly, per Schefter on Twitter.

Also, just in case anybody didn't catch it last night, Decker went to the Jest for 5/$36.25/$15 million guaranteed. That's a lot of money for Manning's #3 guy last year.

Incorrigible Astronaut: Sproles to Philly, per Schefter on Twitter.

Philly.com is reporting it too. Philly sent NO the fifth-round pick that they got from the Pats for Isaac Sopoaga. Sounds like a good deal to me. The Eagles signed a couple of other special-teams guys, so it seems that Chip Kelly wants the return game to be a significant threat this year.

I thought Mike Brown was too cheap to spend money on free agents.  Have they ever been a big force in free agency?

I hear he and Rick Smith are golfing together. The Texans have made two signings: Jack and Squat

The Bills have signed a serviceable guard and a #3 corner. I'm not unhappy with this. They probably won't draft an OL in the first round at this point.

Overpaid for Griffith, yet he wants us to overpay for him too. Not happening.

Doesn't look like the Patriots are going to bring back Edelman, reports are that they are close to signing Sanders from Pittsburgh, they had made a run at him last year when he was an RFA.

Unfortunately, they probably won't have enough cap space to make a serious run at Steve Smith. Although who knows, they still have some guys that they can cut, and maybe they can extend Wilfork.

Even $15 million is more than Denver wants to pay for someone who would be the third best receiver on their team.

m1ke: And the Texans don't cut Schaub.  I...I just don't get it.

I'm not convinced that Schaub was their problem last year.  Several defensive players from other teams openly stated that the Texans play calling was absurdly predictable and that they were able to kill a large portion of Houston's plays because they knew where the throw was going before the snap.  To top that off, Schaub wasn't allowed to change the play, so even when he knew the defense had him figured out, he couldn't allowed to do anything about it.

I'm not surprised by this at all.  We pretty much expected him to go to NE at the end of this year.

Everything I've heard/read is he's a goner, but they don't want to help another team solve it's QB problem so easily. For instance if Cleveland were to land him, they'd be less likely to trade up for JFF

WTF? The Panthers are weak at WR and they get rid of their best one? And they are going to try to replace him with Hakeem Nicks? lol.

He isn't the long ball threat that he once was, but a clutch possession receiver is the greatest requirement for Cam Newton's style of play. Sure he'll be 35 next year and wants a ton of money, but Carolina just screwed themselves with this move.

I uderstand your point, but "screwed themselves" is taking it way too far. Cutting a 34 y/o WR who was scheduled to make $7mil is maybe in "tough decision" territory, but certainly not "screwed yourself" territory.

Yeah, and Carolina has a couple of extra picks in what is supposed to be a pretty loaded WR class. They should be able to find a younger guy with similar production that costs quite a bit less.

Oh, and why Conte hasn't been shown the way out of Chicago via pitchfork and torch, I have no idea.

Would anyone like a safety who doesn't ever know where to be and almost always takes the worst possible route?

The way the structured the Revis deal means that his 2014 cap number is only $7 million.  It sounds like they're going all in this year, so another 2014 cap-friendly offer to someone like Steve Smith wouldn't surprise me.

It's a pretty friendly deal to the Pats. That $20mil option for 2015 will never be picked up and it gives them time to try to work out a long-term deal.

Question is, does he turn out like Donte Stallworth (who I think had 1 entire catch with the Ravens), Lee Evans (1 notable catch, IIRC - and one NOTABLEFARKYOUYOUFARKINGFARK drop), TJ Houshmandzadeh (if not for the name, he'd have been another forgettable down-bencher), or Anquan Boldin (*sniff* too soon *sob* *wail* *rending of garments*)?

// I'm guessing somewhere between Housh and Boldin
// and maybe Tandon Doss will learn how to tie his shoes this year
