Anyone else have an urge to give those guys wedgies?

Also, do you suppose there are more butt cracks than other folding chair events?

So instead of blurring faces, he published people's faces on the internet from a private event without release. He owes a lot of people some splainin.

The guy looks like he probably has a butt crack problem as well.

Really? Man, that sucks... might be his only outlet in life. I thought it was a pretty good representation of what magic players are like. Lots of big guys with little to no personal hygiene.

/I play Magic myself, its a fun strategy game, but you have to have lots of money to play the bigger competitive tournaments unless your sponsered

I have so many questions, the chief one being:

HOW IN THE HELL DO SO MANY PEOPLE JUST SIT THERE WITH LITERALLY HALF THEIR BARE ASS HANGING OUT???

You'd think they would feel a draft or something.

People may think you're kidding, as I did when a friend's roommate told me about this particular game store in my neck of the San Fernando Valley where he would sometimes play Magic (I was in the market for a fancy shmancy chess set). He said it was full of "smelly nerds." I thought, "now, now. Don't be rude."

But he was so right.

My co-worker was at this tournament. I was glad I didnt have to see his buttcrack.

Apparently this guy came up to him and asked for help to get pictures. He politely declined.

You would be surprised... You let yourself go like that you just stop caring to take care of anything and that includes checking to make sure your pants go high enough to cover your crack

If you have never been to one of these places, don't judge. It depends on how good the ventilation system of the space is.
I have been to smellier High School forensics meets than MTG tourneys- way less Axe vs. cologne vs Perfume used, way better smelling overall.

The only problem is some of the people (VERY FEW, mind you) have hygiene problems. But as long as you're polite but candid about the issue, they will correct it for you.

And those folding chairs SUCK.

Wow, I hope that guy doesn't live in a glass house. It's like he's saying "I might be a fat neckbeard, but at least I know how to wear a belt baggy sweatshirt that hangs low." You're not really much better than the people you're taking pictures of, and at least they're doing something they enjoy instead of having to make fun of people on the Internet to hide your loneliness.

If you'd notice most of those photoed have a significant amount of body fat insulating them. and as usually their shirts are long enough to, they think  it's covering, not thinking about the way the chair backs hang the shirt higher if you adjust frequently in your chair (a common tell).

That just makes them wider, not longer.

If they were proportional in length and width, problem would be helped, but those chairs are not intended to be sat in for long periods of time, and the angle is to accomodate folding, not the person sitting in them.

So what's your opinion on drafting? I do like Born of the Gods, but think that they kind of went over the top just to make more cards for EDH, Modern, etc. Theros was a good drafting set.

My only problem with MtG is that is crack.  Indeed and agreed. That's why I stick to drafting, and some standard stuff. I don't really compete in Standard too often, but it is nice to have a standard deck to play with in between draft rounds.

Then again, I stopped playing MtG recently and started to devote to Warmahordes, so the joke's on me :/. <nelsonhaha.jpg>

Its unfortunate that WOTC bans people for stuff like this.

The smells at tourneys are the main reason I stopped playing paper magic. I have no patience for fat people with bad hygiene and will straight up tell them how gross they are.I called a judge on a guy sitting next to me that reeked and asked that he be moved. Didn't work.

For sure, but Modern is also becoming crazy expensive. I was fortunate in that I bought a lot of the really expensive staples (Tarmogoyf, Vendilion Clique) a couple years ago before prices went nuts. Not looking forward to dropping $60 on a Cryptic Command and $25 on Spellskites though :/

/speculated on 4 Foil Gaea's Cradles a few years ago at $70 each :D

I've met a few of these guys (I've stumbled into pokemon and yugioh tournaments).  They will be the most amazing dicks you've ever met in your life because they think it will give them a competitive edge.  I mean really crazy spiteful stuff like telling people their life is going nowhere and that they're going to die alone kind of stuff.

And not on the internet like normal people, but real psychologically damaging real life conflict.

I LOVE the current limited format. I hated it at first because I thought it was too slow, but there are a lot of combat tricks that keep games very interesting. I'm hoping Journey to Nix will keep things solid.

Favorite all time draft sets are Invasion Block and Innistrad Block, with Ravnica a close 3rd.
