"This discovery and seizure will definitely make an impact in our community of 7,200 residents. These drugs will not make their way into our schools or our community, not today."

Good thing there are no other sources of that evil demon weed.

and don't fabricate details in your headline that don't exist in the story in order to coax a greenlight.

it was a neighbor who called the police, not the occupants of the drug house.

Better yet, just don't call the cops, you know, ever.

That's like, a Brazilian dollars worth of pot, man!

1000lbs of weed = 1 lb of weed in a 999lb safe.
Cop math.

Are you implying that the only thing that stops you from robbing/murdering people is fear of police retaliation? Because if so, I have great news for you. The police have an average response time in the tens of minutes. You can be in and out before they show up even if they're called on you. Now you can let your sociopathic tendencies out!

I try to live by this rule but I've had to call the cops on multiple occasions.  If you honestly think that you can live your entire life without ever calling the cops you are either extremely sheltered, or a rugged individualist who will likely die by bear attack.

"Our officers did an outstanding job, and thankfully no one was hurt," says Sgt. Obed Gaytan of the Tolleson Police Dept. "This discovery and seizure will definitely make an impact in our community of 7,200 residents. These drugs will not make their way into our schools or our community, not today."
But officer, dumbarse, they will be back tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day, and the day after that because people like to smoke weed.  They have for over 2700 years, and guess what, no one has ever died from it.  Why don't you take your keep citizens and kids safe from weed argument, and shove it up your sanktamoneous pooper.  The war on drugs is a blatantly abysmal failure.  But ... if you get behind the legalize it argument, we could better keep it out of the hands of kids, stop the cartel funded importation of weed from Mexico, create jobs for Arizona citizens, help the folks in Arizona who need medical cannabis, plus get you all some nice shiney new cop cars.  And remember, if you don't need to hastle citizens about using weed, spend time filling out paperwork and arresting folks who do no harm, you'll have more time for doughnuts and impressing the young ladies at the BK with your flashy badge. I call that a Win win win win win, but I suffer from common sense.

It would be convenient if the prowlers were the officers.

I have lived just fine without doing so for 40 years and I expect that I will die without ever calling the police for help. I am far from rugged. I have just observed from others I've known that calling the police has not ever helped them and so I choose not to do it.

When some drunk violent asshole holding a baseball bat is kicking the door to your apartment in a fit of rage because he thinks his wife is hiding from his fists inside let me know how you prefer to deal with it.  Yeah I could have shot him, and I was ready to do so if he got through the door, but it's much easier to not have to explain the 00 buckshot, blood, piss, and shiat on your floor and wall to the police and your landlord.  What would my options have been if I hadn't been armed?
