All I wanted was a milkshake and they wouldn't give it to me. Just a milkshake. And they wouldn't give it to me.

Millenial kid relies on technology during a horribly misguided attempt to get McDonald's and almost dies.
The only smart thing she did the whole time was stay with her car when she got stuck.

They should put her in an institution. It's the only solution, to give her needed professional help to protect her from the enemy, herself.

I would guess it wouldn't be profitable to be open 24/7 in rural MI.

I suppose it depends on your definition of a milkshake. The McDonalds near me has been selling older style ones for a while, the kind that have frosting and a cherry on top.

shtychkn: Where does she live that she had to drive over 10 miles to a different McDonals?

She's Canadian, but she was visiting a part of our state that wouldn't likely have a McD's if it wasn't near the lake.  Which is why, when she went further inland, she couldn't find McD's.  Now in my area, I could find her a McD's within 5 miles in three directions.  But it would help her more to show her the Tim Horton's.

Granted, she forgot her phone which was kind of stupid but really, until the snowbank trouble, how long could she have actually been gone before the family became "frantic"?

Article makes it sound like the parents were phoning the police before she would have had a chance to drive 15 miles...

Jeez. McDonalds doesn't even HAVE milkshakes!  They have "shakes" -- No "milk" is ever mentioned. They are, in fact, non-dairy frozen treats.

If you want a real milkshake, go to a gas station or convenience store and get one of these:

Between that description of this event and the cowards that locked themselves in a room to save themselves from a housecat, I weep for the direction this species is heading.

That's probably also why Chick-fil-a has Ice Dream instead of ice cream since the latter certainly has a legal definition.

Your university should have taught you the difference between addicting and addictive. And no, there's no "American exemption", whatever any ninny or nincompoop tells you.

You will love me and hate me for introducing them to you. They are awesome, but a chocolate shake has somewhere in the neighborhood of 600 calories.

Oh, and some advice: If you pick any of the two thicker choices, the shake will be damned near solid.
