Do you like getting nailed by the king?

The money shot is when Robert Lindsay and Jeannemarie Phelan, the sneaky duo, both look directly into the camera and gasp.

so the realtors knew the guy had caught them on film, yet they didn't settle:

The $1 million counter-suit alleges that Weiner "went on to say that there would be an opportunity to settle the matter privately, before the media gets hold of the information."

and tried to countersue:

Weiner, who responded to a counter-suit from the pair claiming extortion by sending his secret-camera footage of the trysts

oh, i get it now.

Eh, banging in the house isn't proof they weren't trying to sell it.  I mean they'll have more listed anyway to use for trysts.  Also, the owner has to agree to the sales price, so if it was too high, that's his problem too.

It's not their house; so it doesn't violate their 4th amendment rights, I don't know about privacy; do you have a reasonable expectation of privacy in someone else's house? They might get him for wiretapping; but, maybe not, it is his house, after all.

It may depend on the state laws. But it's going to be an uphill fight for the agents since it wasn't their own home. I can't imagine why a state would prohibit someone placing cameras in their own home- the only time that it might would be if someone was obviously choosing to violate the privacy of people who had a reasonable expectation of it (like in a guest's bedroom or in the bathroom). But to put them in one's own home when the only expected activity would be normal showings by real estate agents... there's no expectation of that kind of privacy then.

- "Oh, well some drywall putty will patch that right up, so like I was saying..."

- "A what? Let me see... Oh... Oh, my god..."

It's not like they broke in... if I am gone for the weekend, give you my keys, and say you are allowed to enter my house, that might change the rules on your expectation of privacy...

They aren't counter suing for violating privacy.  They are counter suing for extortion.  The homeowner basically said "pay me a lot of money in a settlement or I'm releasing the video to the media."  I don't know if that constitutes extortion in their jurisdiction, but it is not a claim for violation of privacy.

Sounds like extortion to me.  Give me monetary compensation or else I'll release this videotape and ruin your career.  Realtor should have gone to the police and the homeowner should have just sued and included the video as evidence.  In any case, the homeowner has the final say on the listing price and I'm sure the realtors had plenty of choices on where to fark.  I can't think of a single realtor that would turn down a sale

Not really. Parents often have cameras hidden for when they have a babysitter over to ensure the safety of their child.
