(Gawker)   Obama already has access to season four of Game of Thrones. Just as you would expect from a tyrannical dictator or an effete wimp in mom-jeans   (gawker.com ) divider line

ScaryBottles: Tarl3k: ScaryBottles: qorkfiend: ScaryBottles: You think season 2 was spot on? Seriously are farking trolling? Eve people who never read the books think it sucked massively.

Not sure if serious.

Where do you feel season 2 deviated significantly from the book? And why do you think that people who thought that season 2 hewed pretty closely to book 2 are "farking trolling"?

Literally I could name unfortunate differences all night here. As far as what people thought go over to westeros.org or the citadel and ask people what they thought of season 2. I'm not sure how many users the citadel has but I know westeros has over two million. Go ahead ask trust me you're going to get about the same response as you will here linking to the free republic but without the even marginal attempts at moderation we get around here so yeah its not just me. Go on I'll wait.

Yes, can I PLEASE get the opinion of a bunch of fanboys, who have neither left their parent's basement in the last 15 years nor experiencedthe joys of sex.  I am sure that will solve everything.  Btw, if you can't understand why the TV show would differ quite drastically from the books you really need to grow up...

One more thing, the TV show can do cool stuff that the books just CAN'T, like the cool reveal in the series that Daenerys could speak Valyrian the whole time the slavemaster of the Unsullied was talking shiat about her.  Something like that just doesn't work in the books, where it does on TV...

You're hysterically shrieking at some random guy on the intertubes that they have never gotten laid because he disagrees with you but I'm the nutso fanboi sweetheart?

The Dans are not coming to your house wearing nothing but raincoats and negligees.

Stop talking about me.

nubzers: Teufelaffe: I've saved all my butthurt for the fact that Strong Belwas won't be in the TV series at all.

Wait really? That guy is crucial in a dance with dragons. Plus, you know, being a bamf.

yeah, i can shrug off a lot of changes between books and tv, but that's kinds farked if true. while belwas isn't a MAJOR character, he certainly isn't a minor one.

I guess they just plan on phoning in the Khalisi side of the story. Not that they didn't start to already.

/You know: blabblahblahCGIDRAGONSblahblahblah...Back To Westeros storyline.

oh sweet lord could you imagine the Song of Fire and Ice read to you in a perfect monotone?

talk about gitmo

The Song of what now?

THANK YOU. I was reading through this moronic argument on this thread that never ended about the significance of changes between the books and the series and was wondering how any one who was that farking obsessed with this series could miss that.

/I nearly spazzed
//about the title

Lol Wut? It was much better in the books, stop trolling

In the book, it's Dany's POV so you know she understands him. There's no mystery or "oh snap" moment.

Besides, you know, where she addresses the slave master in valyrian and he flips out. I mean, if you need subtitles then another person speaking in subtitles to be an oh snap moment then sure the tv series does it better.

I personally believed that it gave greater insight into her mentality and how cool she can play it when needed. If you just want a gotcha moment, then I guess you can have that. I'll take character development.

The character development is the same. The only difference is the audience is surprised in the show because we don't hear her internal monologue. After the reveal it's clear she was playing it cool the whole time. We don't need to be in her head to know that.

Nabb1: Everyone has access to season four. They are called BOOKS.

Your argument is invalid.

It'd be kinda funny if Obama tweeted spoilers for the show

Lando Lincoln: But will he throw George R R Martin in Gitmo so he'll finish the goddamn books?

Bipartisan support. And any Tea Partier that objects because Obama gets slapped by Tyrion.

drew46n2: that's funny, even critics of Martin admit his characters, especially the women, are nuanced, deep, and well-written.

LOL. OK.
