Oh, there are variations, subby. When I lived in Japan, the first time I went for a haircut was about a month in. Due to my very limited grasp of Japanese at the time, the barber whipped out a big binder full of hairstyles. That thing looked like it came right out of an army training seminar: all black and white, brief, direct explanations, same POVs for each one, etc.. Ended up picking Style #19.

I think I like how the Japanese consumer is keeping things in perspective and order.  I wish the US companies were scared of raising prices because it could mean losing business.

/I never paid more than $8 for a haircut, and now, I cut my own.
