Bridgeghazi isn't what killed Christie's chances at getting the Republican nomination

He's just not supportive enough on Global Warming change.   Until he closes all the airports, I just can't support him.

This.

Iowans oppose Chris Christie's coming from a place that isn't a fly-over state, or a rural, agrarian, Bible-thumping backwater.

so does adding -ghazi mean it is NOT a scandal? Sort of like adding -gate makes it a scandal?

Help me out here subby.  Where are you going?

It's Bridgegate, -gate is the suffix for real scandals.  -ghazi is reserved for made up scandals.

I thought it was proven to be a scandal, therefore it shoul;d be known as Bridgegate

Once Governor Christie releases the results of the traffic study he'll be a lock for The White House in 2016.

Well, see. It's tricky, because Benghazi IS a scandal, for Republicans. So since Christie is Republican, even though he may not have been directly involved(hey, this IS sounding familiar), it is definitely a scandal for him.

This just makes it confusinger.  It -ghazi makes it only a scandal from a republican point of view, then this is sort of the opposite.  More republicans are likely to shrug this one off I would wager. So with that line, wouldnt it be Brridgeantighazi? And that is just getting rediculous.

I think, they way they've been handling it in the media, it should be called "Let's make Christie more attractive to Republicans-gate".

He won't personally admit his beliefs (he says it's "none of your business", which I think is valid). As to teaching it, his views are something akin to "evolution should always be taught, creationism should be taught if that's what is wanted at the local level."

Sounds to me like he believes in creationism, but is smart enough to not admit in public.

/Christie is more religious than most people realize, he does a good job of keeping it to himself though

Endangering lives for political retribution is hilarious. If anything we should make Christie king and send fartbongo back to the congo.

Still not enough. Whatever you think is enough, it is at least double that.

Hey hey hey!  Make that "Iowa Republicans" who hate people for not being a bible thumping loon.
The Iowa Democrats are lovely, well educated people.  It's just that western part of the state that gets a little red-in-the-head if you know what i mean.

I know you're joking, but I like this bit of derp you just served us.  It's short and sweet with a nice mix of racist bigotry and ignorance of geography.  Also, the rhyming scheme tickles my fancy.

Wait just a farking second here.  Name me a rural, agrarian, bible-thumping backwater that is NOT a fly-over state.  You can't.  There's no dundancy like redundancy.

Iowans don't not like Christie because he's from a big city, or because he believes in evolution.  They don't like him because, in Iowa, Bridgegate would have resulted in the governor being forcibly exiled from the state by his own party.  Iowa's version of a political scandal is that the governor once was driven around in a car that went over the speed limit.

My experience does not support this assertion.  But I was unaware there was a plural on the end of Iowa Democrat, so I may not have found that tiny little enclave.

It is a magical place called "Iowa City" - where the hippies gather and elect socialists to city council and put up signs on the edge of town that say "Nuclear Free Zone".   A land where the University and its world-class hospital draw in doctors and scientists from around the world who promote foreign concepts like "education is good" and "facts are neat."

Oh, and it's like a 45 minute drive from the "future birthplace of Captain Kirk."  So there's that too.
