Sweet. I was wondering how this could be steered into the direction of a flame war.

/Bring it.

2004-02-02 02:24:02 PM
Raise the Alert Level to flame orange.

What is the Future like, BoilerMkr? Are there flying cars and colonies on Mars? Sex robots and robot sex?

Wait.

We really don't have a flame war yet.

This must be George Bush's fault.

NOW, you have a flamewar!

/has kerosene handy

lives in Ohio, and this state is freaky enough to deserve its own tag! ;)

Same here (living in Ohio that is). There seems to be a dispropotionate number of Ohio posts here, but Florida only got a tag because of the complete idiocy of their voting incident. I don't wish something like that upon the great state of Ohio.

Damn, I keep missing these car fires due to work...

*beat BoilerMkr, (sucks to find out the hard way you can't beat the filters)

This accident is undoubtedly the fault of Janet Jackson's nipple. Or would it be niple in this thread?

"This accident is undoubtedly the fault of Janet Jackson's nipple. Or would it be niple in this thread?"

It may have been a "gas conveyance malfunction".

Whatever. It was deeply regrettable and not planned in any way. Hey, the tanker certainly did not "explod" in the rehearsal!

;)

THAT is old school. I love things like that that somehow became lodged in the brain years ago and become useful only in the most random circumstances...or were you playing Bionic Commando this morning???

2004-02-02 03:16:26 PM
Well, ya see, class, there's a difference here. When a tanker 'explodes', it is a lot worse than when it 'explods.' The latter is much less intense, creates less smoke, and burns less of the stuff around it. The reason the headline didn't say 'explodes' is that that particular form of incindiary event would probably have dropped the lower half of Floriduh into the ocean.

"Ohio bites so glad to be outta there. Holidays this year in that wasteland just about killed me."

Be glad you left right after the holidays.

It's been a COLD dreary January so far here in Ohio.

/wants to move south

And we got a team into the Super Bowl even though we lost but hey it beats being a Browns fan although I secretly still root for them. I want to go farther south but still close to the ocean and not Fla. Damn there are lot of cops in Ohio two minutes into the state and I get pulled over don't they have anything else to do?

2004-02-02 03:39:03 PM
moctar,

I just remembered that one engrish word "explod".

2004-02-02 03:40:13 PM

2004-02-02 03:50:40 PM
Isn't FARK doing some kind of special promotion and giveaway for the 1,000,000,000 comment on FARK. If not, I would still like to know how many total comments FARK has had up until mine.

THIS JUST IN: Arab gas station by the house just raised prices $.08 a gallon accross the board. See, I told you, give them an excuse and they will raise.

mile marker 182 is under construction... it's the "old exit 33"

2004-02-02 04:02:42 PM
So I work in the library of a branch Campus of MCC, and I cannot see the road from here. I am told that they re routed traffic from the southbound lane onto the road that passes the school... A little 2 lane road.. poor suckers... shame that this could'nt have happened about 100 miles to the north so we could catch all the tourists heading to Disney.

"Hey SoccerAndy were you downloading songs yesterday? Someone with your screen name uploaded some Blues Bros songs off me in the afternoon."

I was downloading yesterday, but it wasn't anything like that. Sorry.

On the upside, his family won't have to worry about cremation costs.

2004-02-02 04:21:58 PM
I just went and looked. (i got too much time on my hands) yup I-75 south bound is closed at exit 182. re routed traffic down two lane roads and through the little town of north port. The locals will be ina Hoot fer a coons age.

2004-02-02 04:25:10 PM
I was getting some Phantom Planet

"Damn there are lot of cops in Ohio two minutes into the state and I get pulled over don't they have anything else to do?"

No, they don't. However, I take solace in this fact: Here in Ohio, the cops are required to be in MARKED vehicles when doing speed trap duty. Back in Kentucky (where I came from), they can be in unmarked cars and be very sneaky about it.

/does 75 in a 65 mph zone happily

2004-02-02 04:41:09 PM
Big deal! We do this all the time in Balto-Wash.

2004-02-02 04:42:50 PM
In NC the cops don't even look at you unless you're doing 20 over, I-40 is like the autobahn except during rush hour. hey have you been to Granville? grew up there.

2004-02-02 04:51:59 PM
"hey have you been to Granville? grew up there."

Just driven through there. I actually live in Dublin.

2004-02-02 05:11:46 PM
It ain't rush hour on the Beltway without a couple overturned trucks and a carbecue.

2004-02-02 05:18:14 PM
Area has really suburbanized since I lived there they have put in a lot Golf courses though, are you in IT you ought to check out the Triangle. Had a friend in college from Dublin partied at his place one weekend was a blast.

2004-02-02 05:29:08 PM
Good it happened a couple hours north of me.
That'll keep those Mid-westerners back for a while.

2004-02-02 05:33:55 PM
Aw. They changed the headline. Now nobody will fully appreciate all of today's fine witticisms...

Was Mad Max driving the truck?

2004-02-02 06:01:07 PM
Well, that explains why it took me two hours to go one mile to get home -- I just walked in the door a few minutes ago. U.S. 41 is a freakin' zoo right now.

2004-02-02 06:23:25 PM
While driving 95 in Miami always felt a bit like Spy Hunter, driving I-75 anywhere in Florida, especially through Tampa, always felt like Death Race 2000. Miles and miles of tail-gating big rigs.

I live right near this, about 10 minutes drive. My wife travels down river road to US 41 to go to work. My dang dishwasher was thirty minutes late to the restaurant because of this. Should fire the SOB.

2004-02-02 07:51:33 PM
Wow, My retired parents live right near there! I wonder if Dad was out driving again.....

2004-02-02 08:06:19 PM
about that exit... the "182" or old exit "33" numerogically speaking 182 adds up to 11. 11 and 33 are master numbers. jes cosmic wonderin.

2004-02-02 08:22:19 PM
uh oh i just noticed my last post was number "99" by some also considered as a master number. hmmmm
