There is no way they have a large enough sample to make any conclusions.

I know it is completely anecdotal but my grandmother gave birth 11 times (only 9 lived) and she has breast cancer.

Even the sturdiest of quivers will rot one day.

Don't know about cancer, but I know giving birth caused Addison's disease and Graves disease for me.

/wouldn't trade them for perfect health
//would like a vacation every now and then, though

I went to grade school with several 10+ child families, and all of those mothers lived 90+ years old without cancer. Each of those ladies were made of iron willpower that no one ever wanted to mess with.

Having read TFA, I see that 's not giving birth so much as having been pregnant long enough for the breasts to change. So one could have 10 mid- to late-term abortions and get the same effect.

I think my wife would rather chance having cancer than having 10 children.

However, you miss the tax breaks, can never really take advantage of that nice school you're paying for down the street and don't get your own parent day. Also, in many parks, people look at you funny when you hang out at the swing sets.

So do we, actually...

It just so happens that whatever I want to do with our disposable income usually centers around my kids instead of stuff for us.  Big whoop, I have more fun buying my kids toys than I ever did buying anything for myself.

I'm really looking forward to this part. A few years ago my mom told me she loved buying me He-Man toys because she thought they were so cool looking and she liked having them around.
