Yes, but money is free speech and bullets are words to GOPers.

I wish my state would do that. I could eliminate hearing from Michelle Bachman, Paul Allen, conservative talk radio, and Prince.

There's really not that much to talk about in Kansas.  They only have two main topics which match their seasons, wheat and basketball.

Indiana can't be... they have an NFL team.  Arkansas maybe but they have Clinton and Wal-Mart (you said most forgettable, not most forsaken).  Kansas is pretty forgettable all around, although we may be forgetting Wyoming and the Dakotas.

Well they could talk about how much time Senator Pat Roberts spends in Kansas.

Sen. Pat Roberts' (R-KS) office won't release details about how much time the lawmaker spends in the state, after a New York Times story revealed Roberts does not actually maintain a home there.

Here's what you do.

1. Kick Kansas out of the union.
2. Relocate all the fundies there.
3. Wall it off.
4. Boobies for everyone!  Else.

I like that, then they can have their little theocracy and instead of doctors just use prayer. It will probably make Utah look like party central.

Best of all it will be a self-correcting problem.  After their efforts to pray away disease (in between praying away teh ghey) fails and the plague kills everyone, fumigate, tear the walls down, clean the joint up, fresh new land ready for occupancy.

Probably might want to change its name though.  Kansas will be a dirty word.  Maybe call it The Great State of Arousal.  That'll keep any surviving fundies who managed to escape the cull out.

It's trying to limiting things that are offensive; true, that's pretty broad; but, it's only applicable in schools and libraries. It'll never pass anyway.

Trying to limit speech that is already on a curriculum by opening up the litigation channels against teachers using that curriculum.  Yeah, it is probably DIW but it is a wretched concept in the first place.

Judiciary is a plum assignment, meaning a republican heavy-hitter chairs it, meaning this election-year garbage will fly through. Being a Kansan and having covered several legislative sessions, this kind obviously unconstitutional stuff doesn't even turn my head any more.

Ugh, she got elected back into the state senate? When I lived in Shawnee she would send out flyers railing against whatever Rush and other blowhards were making the new hot topic of the week. When she lost re-election a few years back I was hopeful that Shawnee was getting sick of her shiat, but I guess she is back.
