Well, that explains why my dogs went nuts last night.

I'm in Chico, and I felt it over here. I've a Facebook friend who lives in Eureka, and she was a bit freaked out. There have been twenty three aftershocks since the big one last night, which is enough to keep you on edge. Link

I was surprised to see him show up as the new Maytag repairman.  I'm really hoping his career doesn't stall.  He was great in Eureka and played a pretty good bad guy on Haven.

So that's why there are so many potholes out on front of my office today.  I was beginning to wonder what the deal with that was.

I'm in Chico too - but I didn't feel a thing as I was passed out in bed.

I'm trying to think of someone who appeared in any Sci-fi channel series who has done well afterwards.

Can't think of any.

Don't worry, any damage caused will be fixed by the next retcon. That show just could not commit to a storyline.

I can think of plenty who maintain their status for years but yea I'm struggling to think of any who move out of TV and into major movies. To be fair though, SciFi doesn't actually have many original series. It would be interesting to see how the other channels fair in the same department.

I keep sitting down to watch the show and get about 5-7 episodes in before something major pops up and consumes my time, thus preventing me from continuing to watch it (most recently, a difficult final five weeks of pregnancy). Is the show worth finishing or do they trickle off into stupid plot lines?

The season are disjointed, but the arcs within the seasons are okay.

He had executive producer credits on the later seasons. I think he probably did well enough that properly invested he didn't have to worry about flipping burgers into old age. Then one day his agent called with something he said yes to. And more people will see him as The Maytag Man than ever saw him as sheriff.

I believe he also directed a bunch of episodes, so he's got that going for him.

Besides:  I'm sure he's making great coin from the Maytag spots.

Well that's depressing. :/

That said, the original Maytag man, Jesse White, still was known as an actor even when he was the Maytag man.

Still depressing though.

No.

It's the Cascadia fault.

The price they pay for such pretty scenery and wonderful weather* is that they're basically at Ground Zero for every "And then once every X thousand years, the world blows up" event that the USA has to offer.  Yellowstone, a bunch of active volcanoes, Cascadia fault...

Not to mention that it's not a syfylis show, it's a Canadian show that syfylis picked up.

Anna Silk isn't the big problem on that show anyways. The writers kinda suck balls.

I see him as a long lost brother to Mike Rowe for some reason. I could see him hosting a new season of Dirty Jobs.

Hmm, that would have made for a strange crossover episode. But if you think about, Sheriff of Eureka was a dirty job. I suspect it became an inside joke that might be in the DVD commentary.

It's worth it to stick around until the end of the first story arc in season 4. The show definitely jumped the shark during the second half of season 4, and season 5 was utter crap.

Basically, when Felicia Day shows up, it's time to tune out.
