FTFA: people with drunkorexia starve all day to justify a drinking habit.

So no beer belly?
Why not both?
Subby sounds fat.

Any bro knows that you eat more. You want to be faced after only 6 brewskis?

You mean, a drinking problem.

So being conscious of how many calories you take in throughout the day is a disorder now?  No wonder the country is full of fatties.

2014-03-10 12:32:53 AM
I drink so much that I forget to eat. It has nothing to do with calorie counting I assure you.  just feel like shiat around 8pm and remember I haven't actually had anything in my stomach besides beer, bourbon or gin.

I would be more concerned with the epidemic of addiction to hydric hydroxide.

Cripes I'm sick of these people. They define binge drinking to include practically anyone who goes out for a few drinks. People want to save some calories and they wail about that. And I'm sure that in a story where they wail about "the obesity epidemic" they wail because they think people don't know that alcohol has calories. They're the ones who refer to drinking as "using alcohol" instead of just drinking, because they think that anyone who drinks has a problem.

STFU and DIAF.

I try not to eat at all, because I never know when I may feel like drinking. I'm just glad there's nothing wrong with me.

Eating disorders get more insurance coverage. Being a drunk is just a lack of moral fibre. Says it right there in the DSM-5.

I eat pretty much the same amount every day. Of course I drink every day, too, so I'm not sure what my point is.

I'm not sure where fools think they doing when they report this crap.  Another source says at  5'10," with a slim frame, I am obese at 170lbs.

I wouldn't say it's obese, but it's overweight.  Last I checked at 5'10 a person should be between 140-160 or 145-165 (I read both at different points).  If you were a slim frame, you should be around 140-145 I guess, so by that logic, 170 might be obese under some definitions.  However, I don't think most people would consider it to be obese when we think of obesity.

No, because I drink every day.

I'm happy to see a bunch of fellow gin drinkers here. I'd be partaking myself right now if I weren't crippled by this terrible gastroenteritis in my guts. Maybe I'll go get some orange juice; that way it'll totally count as medicine.

FTFA: "In women, binge drinking is characterized by more than three drinks in a night, or more than seven in a week"

Ok, so more than 3 drinks/night would be 4 drinks per night.  Over the course of a week that's 28 drinks.  But don't get too excited because if you go over 7/week then that means you have a problem.  If you're a man then the result is pretty much the same with a slightly bigger set of numbers.  Teetotalers are not only boring, but they suck at math too.

Put me in the eat a ton of food beforehand camp. I'd rather not have to worry about drunk munchies and an upset stomach. I've gotta be able to wholly focus on the binge drinking at hand.

Histrionic personality disorder?  With a little narcissism thrown in?

Just spitballing here, but I don't think that's right. Just looking at UFC fighters, those guys CUT to get to 155 and they are professional athletes. I would thing a 'normal guy' would be much heavier.

I feel it's almost the other way around. The disease model of addiction is almost universally accepted, whereas the response to eating disorders is often "SAMMICH."

Depending on your particular blend of eating disorder, the cure could also be "LESS SAMMICH" or "DON'T REGURGITATE SAMMICH"

I've been saying this for years, drinking is going to be the next smoking. They've already started the ball rolling by defining "binge drinking" as having only four beers, now if you skip lunch because you want to have a 6 pack that night you're not only a binge drinker, but you have an eating disorder. It's going to keep on until drinkers are looked at like those disgusting, filthy smokers.
