Is Dan Gilbert still the owner?

Then they've got zero chance.

Are the Cavaliers still in Cleveland?

Then they have no shot.

I'd say the Browns have a better chance.

So, by the start of the '15 NBA season, Cleveland would need to:

- Get Irving signed to a new deal that is well below his market value
- Trade for either Love or Aldridge this off season - a trade that at a minimum would be at least one first rounder and two of Varejao/Jack/Waiters/Bennett/Thompson - and get them to re-up with the club (again, likely at a less-than-max deal) rather than just walk via free agency
- THEN convince LeBron to come back to Cleveland

Or, more likely.....

- End up giving Irving max money, because they have to have him for Step 1 of their plan, and if they can't get a deal done and end up having to use a Qualifying Offer on him for '15-16, he's probably walking
- Make a lot of noise about trades, but ultimately they aren't able to land a big fish, because there's no way someone like Love or Aldridge is going to agree to sign a multi-year deal for Irving and the hope of something more, when they can go do that for teams like the Celtics or Lakers, or just wait another year and go wherever they want. So the Cavs will panic and end up giving way too much money to a second-tier guy like Evan Turner or Zach Randolph
- LeBron will laugh and go play with Love and Embiid in LA starting in '15-16

I can guarantee you LMA is not going to Cleveland. LeBron is not leaving Miami, and Kevin Love is will never be a good defender.

Hitler, Stalin, and Bin Laden could all play for the Cavs and if they won a championship, the city would love them.

The Ohio state legislature would also need to pass a law allowing athletes to pay a negative state income tax rate.
