Because without science this doesn't exist.

Stephen Mangan is very funny. See: Green Wing.
Also, Joey's stalker has great tits.

I have every episode of Green Wing on DVD.  One of the most insane shows I've ever watched.  And I less than three it.

I was sad that Dirk Gently only had four episodes.

So you start a Facebook page aggregating other peoples' work and stealing images, and that gets you a show?

Clearly I need to swear more.

Shameless self-promotion

How many Flame Challenges has she won?

/seriously, though, good on her.  Hopefully this will open the door for more deserving people to get shows.

Same here.  It would be the perfect show to put out in between seasons of Sherlock.

Mark Heap ftw.

I also like Kevin Eldon but he needs someone to write for him, like Chris Morris.

I "share" lost of the "love science" posts on Facebook because i do love science and everytime on of my Christian family members shiats all over the comments. In regards to dinosaurs "Maybe the timeline is wrong..." Etc...

And I love Craig Ferguson, in a Geoff Peterson way. Best late night host out there. Even better than Letterman, who's been in old man mode for a decade at least.

If I ever became famous, Craig Ferguson's show would be the *only* show I'd appear on. The man is a comedy genius. Long may he run...

That, and cocaine.  Cocaine, alcohol, and science.

It's funny to talk about science like an ignorant uncultured ass. No real scientist would say "I farking love science"- only people who get their science from buzzfeed say shiat like that.

"You got science in my CraigyFerg!"

"You got CraigyFerg in my science!"

Two great things that (will most probably) taste great together!

But really, I'm stoked for this. With the new Cosmos, and this, we're in for some good times.

/Now, for the trifecta, Dara Ó Briain needs to develop a better-developed science show than his "School of Hard Sums" or "Science Club": those always leave me craving more humor.

Hey look, everybody! One of these geezers! Make sure to keep clear of his lawn, and whatever you do, don't try to make STEM subjects more accessible; remember, knowledge is for the elites.

I'd do Stewart and Colbert too, but yeah, Craig Ferguson is great. Sadly he doesn't have anywhere near the audience of Letterman or Leno/Fallon, so your agent would probably push you to get in front of one of those audiences.

A lot of what she posts is junk science. I guess the good stuff is the stuff she got caught stealing.

I've got a YouTube channel, an international award in science communication, American Chemical Society backing on top of research, teaching and theatre experience.

She's got a Facebook page, and she's the one hobnobbing with Bill Nye and Craig Ferguson.

Well she does have a schtick. I do find it funny that (among my Facebook "friends" at least) the people that usually post it are also the ones posting the crap from Natural News or other sites. "I F-n Love Science! and did you know that microwaving water is bad for you!"

Does he actually love it, or does he just think space is pretty? (ref: xkcd)

This whole internet culture bullsh*t is extremely annoying.

What pissed me off was that the idiot head of the BBC canceled it because they had "too many detective shows."  I know that's what it said on the tin, but DG wasn't really a detective show.

On the up-side, regimes come and go at the BBC, and it's much easier to get shows back on the air in the UK after they've been canceled.

/honestly assumed that they were developing Dirk Gently to run with Sherlock and maybe one other show so they'd always have one of them running.  Something like NBC's thing with Colombo.

Nice.

As for the show?

GREAT! I love science, too. but calling it 'I F'ing love science'?

Trying to be edgy much?

Give it rest and learn to communicate without trying to impress people with the fact that you dare to use 'Fing' on your blog and as a TV show name.

See, why can't you guys call the shots at BBC?
