Kiribub: Business decision, and the right one.
Killer Cars: You might want to sit down for this, subby, but Rod Woodson and Darrell Green are also no longer playing in the NFL.
germ78: It's like Subby still thinks it's 2004 or something.
rka: Find me another team that's going to pay him $10 million. At his age. With his injury history. It was to nice to speculate about a contract renegotiation to keep him in Denver but let's be honest. The amount of money he'd have to come down to would flat out being embarrassing coming from the Broncos. A player can go somewhere else and sign a lowball offer and still keep his dignity. He can't take a 80% pay cut from the team that was set to pay him $10 million.
thegreg1: At that age he was lucky this hadn't already happened last year.As far as the superb owl... Yeah the D gave up 43 but the 8 the offense put up didn't help at all
worlddan: I guess Champ thinks he can make more money elsewhere.
germ78: worlddan: I guess Champ thinks he can make more money elsewhere.Ask Brian Urlacher how that worked out for him. The Bears offered him a contract; he refused. No other team offered him a contract. Now he biatches about not having gotten any respect from the Bears even though he was offered $2 mill for one last season when it looked obvious that he was no longer an elite player the year before.
steamingpile: germ78: It's like Subby still thinks it's 2004 or something.Yeah subby missed him getting smoked most of last year, hell I loved to watch him in his prime since I'm a Georgia fan but he's done. His speed is gone and that was what made him invaluable as a CB.Biggest mistake Snyder ever made was that moronic trade because he didn't want to pay him, out of all the money he pissed away and he refuses to pay his star. Just idiotic.
macadamnut: Manning's not going to last another whole year anyway. Who's his backup? Dan Orlovsky?
