It's too early to be up. Watching a game before the sun cracks the horizon

Expect Arsenal to go for it today. This is Wenger's best shot at silverware, and I don't expect him to go light. Team sheet announced, looks like it'll be Fab in goal, Mert and Vermaelen pairing at the center (this worries me a bit), Gibbs and Sagna at the ends. Midfield is Arteta and Flamini anchoring, with Özil, Ox and Cazorla feeding Sanogo.

Sanogo is still quite raw, but hopefully he'll get settled in today's game and start getting his shots on target.

Wigan and Cardiff...?  Arsenal - Everton, Chelsea - Tottenham are more high profile matches today. Maybe some will tune in to see ManU choke vs West Brom

/whilst in the headline will bring in the trolls

Personally, I would have highlighted the world-stopping match of Grbalj Radanovici vs. FK Lovcen in the Montenegro Telekom 1 league , but not everybody is ready for a game that amazing.

I'd love to watch but the Crew signed an exclusive contract to show their games on the Time Warner sports channel (whatever that is).  So anyone without TWC is hosed

Arsenal-Everton ought to be a good game, while Jose will try to make all of Tottenham's players fall asleep.

They start in the Montenegrin first league, and go on to do great things. Like beat the Three Lions :D

Actually the big match up this weekend in the Montenegrin first league is FK Sutjeska v FK Čelik Nikšić

It is your FFPL report!

img.fark.net

For the second week running, top scorer of the round was Luckless_Wonder with a MIGHTY 135. Cheeky +90 for a Toffee 1-0 over Hammers. Me in second place with a comforting 105 and Mitchcumstein1 and NorfolkingChance logging 90's. At the other end, Rev.K handed back 10 for the only negative score of the round.

Chupacabra_Sandwich, Cajnik - strike 3.

I retain the top spot and am joined in the 2000 club by nathanjr. Wynswrld stays in third. At the bottom Cognitive_Displaysia lives!

Sachbash [not Cajnik!] retains the Banker Presidency, one of just two players with the full whack [StRalphtheLiar]. Stimied might be able to claim it this round if his banker is good. Norfolking_Chance retains the Median Trophy. Princips_Sandwich clings onto Page 1 whilst Gonz_Hotspur drops onto Page 2.

FFPL climbed up 4 spots in the league of leagues rankings to 148th.

This round, there is an actual case for not playing your banker.

Of all the things that frustrate me about Man Utd this season, the top one is how rarely they threaten the opposition goal.

Swansea betrayed me. Turned a +45 into a -30.

With these many crosses, I'm half-expecting Moyes to buy Crouch in the summer window.

Arsenal playing right on the edge. They'll either look brilliant at the end of the game or they'll give up the ball against the run of play and give up a soft equalizer.

Leighton Baines just looks so very English to me. I would not be surprised at all if I were to hear he was born wearing a bowler hat.

Flamini is very, very lucky he didn't get a red for that tackle.

The Arsenal defence has a sticky moment against the Toffees.

Utd have so much individual attacking talent yet collectively rarely seem to have anything threatening inside the box. So weird.

The Flamini play was Everton breaking. Flamini went in waaaaaaaay late on an Everton player which had already passed the ball and flipped him upside down.

They never try and build up (of course they just scored...everyone scoring just as i change the channel).  Everything goes down the side and then they whip in the cross

Flamini was a little late with studs up over the ball. Thats been a sending off for a lot of players recently.

The goal was a fatastic break with the Everton player driving deep to the Arse box, passed it to the far side who ran it to the line then a chip back to Lukaku who bundled it in off his thigh. All round a great team goal.

They rarely ever try going down the middle. Sure, it works in bulk against inferior opposition. But when it doesn't, you get results like the Fulham and Olympiakos matches.

Flamini had a late, two-footed tackle on an Everton player. The play was already moving upfield, but if the player had still been in possession of the ball, I think Flamini would be in the showers right now.

The Everton goal was Arsenal giving up the ball just outside the Everton box and Everton broke down the pitch, with Arsenal defenders unable to stop the run.

Oh that's gotta hurt. Fellaini just stomped that Baggie thigh.

Oh man. That was a handball by Foster. I've seen that red-carded.

Yes, especially since Utd would have been through on goal. Yet not even a free kick. Foster is a very lucky boy.

Apparently United are chasing after Antoine Griezmann of Real Sociedad. I doubt that'll happen, since there'll be a lot of interest in signing him. Been playing really well for years now, with this one being his best.
