"As part of a deal that they struck with the 2-year-old, they agreed that he would be allowed to smoke marijuana five times."

If you are trying bargain with a two year old, you clearly are a bad parent. And I am not sure how you convince a two year old to smoke, they have no conception of how cool it makes you look.

Two year olds are defined by egocentricism and a lack of reasoning capacity and logical thought.

So bargaining with your little snow flake REALLY must work for you idiots, huh?

As a parent of multiple children, I hereby testify that there is no such thing as striking a deal with a 2 year old.

Don't know who's BS'ing, but this is BS.

When meth is involved, lots of things seem logical.

So it's like the old "put whiskey on the pacifier" to get infants to sleep.

We really need to finally write a law outlawing their running in and winning of elections.

Wonder how good they'll be negotiating with a judge or prosecutor. It'll probably involve a nice fat Hefty full of bobo kush. Or in the case of idiots like this, a Hefty full of Mexican swag.

That's terrible, smoke is horrible for a baby's lungs.  Use the edible lollipops instead.

Many a night when I had a sore throat my mom would give me Canadian Club mixed with honey. The concoction worked very nicely.

My two year old is on my back trying to throttle me as I write this so my question is...did it work?

2014-03-08 12:07:34 PM
My wife and her first daughter lived shared a house with a 40-something couple (at the time).  She eventually figured out that when they babysat, if the daughter (then 1-2 years old) would have a tantrum, they would smoke weed and blow it in her face.

She moved out once she figured it out.

Daughter still calls that horrible woman "Grandma Liz."  Pisses me off something fierce.

They moved to Washington state briefly and decided to move back to Montana with the intention of selling meth and marijuana.   Their dealing plan didn't work out, however, because they personally consumed all of the drugs before they got back to Montana.

I hate it when that happens.

I decided the weed would work better if I discretely kept it to myself.  Worked out for me.

As for bargaining with a two-year-old, you can't really, but you can constantly trip them up with the false dichotomy.  You can have A or B, but you can not have C.  Where A, B, and C are toys, snacks, what not, but not weed.

YMMV

Basically this.  Trying to reason with my 2 year old is like trying to reason with a brick wall...admittedly, a brick wall that can say "NO!" over and over again.  But there's no bargaining with them...not that I would believe anyone who thinks that giving marijuana to any child is believable in the first place.

That's why I'm glad I don't have kids. I HATE sharing my weed.

Well, did it work?

Adding to the endangerment of the 2-year-old, Samuels gave birth to their child in July and court documents state that the baby tested positive for marijuana and meth.

Oh. :(

2014-03-08 02:50:15 PM
Meth makes you make bad decisions. Kid gets a cup of tea with honey and whiskey in it. No farking way it's getting my weed!

2014-03-08 03:27:57 PM
Didn't they use to give whiskey for toddlers' toothaches?

2014-03-08 04:27:54 PM
Not surprising considering it says they found traces of meth in the babies system. Of course marijuana will get the bad rep.

Upside is that these parents will have the least fussy eater of a two year old ever.

I don't get what you're trying to say. Cocaine is an anesthetic, that is it's medical use. It's used to numb mucus membranes on contact. Many ent docs and dentists make use of it in their practice. That add is advertising it for it's across medical use. To this day. It's like putting a picture of ora-gel up and patting yourself on the back for brilliant public commentary.

Yikes. Take it down a notch, fella.

Cocaine is used medically because of it's powerful vasoconstrictive properties. I've never heard of it being used in modern dentistry or EENT practice as an anesthetic. There are things like EMLA and Lidocaine/Novocaine which don't produce the same systemic effects as cocaine.

I know of parents who would probably think of this as being a great idea. Of course, they're smoking it in front of the kiddos anyway.
