I'm guessing kids playing 'I'll show you mine if you show me yours', and some of them probably having older siblings who actually know about sex, resulting in the little ones acting on what they heard. Or, some of them have access to HBO, Showtime, or Cinemax and are re-enacting things. If that's the case, I'm betting the parents aren't monitoring their input, or don't care what their kids are watching. If this results in some suspensions or worse, wow. Just, wow!

CSB: My slightly sheltered nephew, while starting public school in K, got a little too curious with a fellow female in the class since it was his first time around girls. Basic, who and what are you...( like I said, sheltered), which resulted in him being reported to the counselor, and principal. AFAIK, he didn't even touch anyone, but hey, odd and curious behavior in the classroom is just that. Amusingly, the counselor, who barely passed, grade-wise, child development and a few other important courses in college, recommended psyche evals, medication, and what amounted to removal from school, in reaction to this incident. That was quite laughable and a bit disturbing, since I have family who teach and have certifications with such backgrounds in the area. Needless to say, his parents removed him from school and home-schooled for a while until throwing him into a parochial school a few years later. /end-CSB

It was quite disturbing, on several fronts, the ineptitude and over-reaction school policy has in place with regard to such incidents. Makes me consider home-schooling more and more if I ever have kids.

Typical conservative, puritan fear-mongering run amok.  The behavior was almost certainly normal little kid exploration of the "I'll show you mine if you show me yours" variety.

On your CSB.  The reaction is the State Mandated CYA required for all referrals. Isolate and terminate the outlier early.

In Kindegarten, I frequently "played doctor" and was made to sit in time-out as punishment (it was a special red bench; I remember it well)  The girls never got punished.

Is it just me, or was that the least informative report ever made?

Something happened to someone and someone got upset over a speculated incident which apparently, according to a parent, involved some degree of a theoretically sexual nature among children who are too young to have any real concept of sex itself.

I recall being in kindergarten when a female classmate offered to show me hers if I showed her mine. She did and I did and I was so impressed that I promptly joined her in smearing white paste on the polished wooden floor to make it shine better.

Now, the paste thing irritated the teacher.

See, little girls wore mainly skirts back then, making it easier to just flip them up, pull down the panties and flash the world. Little boys tended to wear shorts with elastic waist bands. Just pull down and pop out.

I guess, in today's world, that would make her and I possible sex offenders. I think we were both 5. It wouldn't matter that the objects of my interest were mainly frogs, snails, worms, Butterflies and shiny bottle caps. Plus that wonderful smelling, cool tasting kindergarten white paste.

I mean, what she showed me was interesting but not that interesting. Such stuff wouldn't become that interesting for a few more years and then not a major thing until I hit puberty. The paste, at that time, was more fun.

I shudder to think what a huge fuss would be raised if that happened in today's society. Plus (the horror) we were left unattended in a separate room as our mothers chatted with the teacher in another.

Society needs to get a grip.

In third grade, I had a girlfriend named Jenny.  We used to make out on the whistle chairs during naptime.  One day, hand to God, she whispered in my ear, "Tomorrow I want it in the butt."

    [Kindergarten, next day.]
Mr. Garrison:    Okay, children, who can tell me what a condom is? [puts a box of Gladiator condoms on the table. The kindergartners look at him, and finally a girl raises her hand] Yes, Jenny?
Jenny:    It flies around and it's endangered.
Mr. Garrison:    That's a con-dor, Jenny. Con-dor. [holds up the box] Con-doms are what we use to stop the spread of STDs. [Filmore raises his hand] Yes, Filmore?
Filmore:    Can we do fingerpaint?
Mr. Garrison:    NO, we can't do fingerpaint! You kids wanna get herpes?! Huh?! How about a nice bucket of AIDS?! Sound good?! Now pay attention, alright? I'm going to show you the proper way to put on a condom. [puts a phallus on the table] First of all you remove the condom from its package. [demonstrates] Then you find which way the condom rolls out. [demonstrates] Put it in your mouth... [puts it in his mouth] And apply. [proceeds to do so. The kids watch on astonished, and one of the boys finally cries. Mr. Garrison finishes and raises his head] And it's as simple as that. Any questions?

    [Mr. Garrison's room, later]
Mr. Garrison:    Okay, children, now I wanna review the different sexual positions. Who can tell me which sexual positions we talked about?
Filmore:    [raises his hand] Miss'nary position?
Mr. Garrison:    [turns around and writes the position] Missionary position, good. A little boring, but tried and true. What else?
Girl:    Doggie?
Mr. Garrison:    [turns around and writes the position] That's right. Doggie style we went over, mhm.
Boy:    Pile driver?
Mr. Garrison:    [turns around and writes the position] Uh huh, pile driver position. Good, Quaid.
Sally:    The Filthy Sanchez?
Mr. Garrison:    [turns around and writes the position] Yes, good Flora, you remembered the Filthy Sanchez.
Boy 2:    Hot Karl?
Mr. Garrison:    [turns around and writes the position] Yes,you can give your partner the ol' Hot Karl, sure.
[End of Proper Condom Use, but Mr. Garrison has a few more things to say]
Mr. Garrison:    Okay children, so what other sexual positions have we talked about? Yeah, the wrap-around butt grab. Sure, can't forget that. Uh huh, reverse cowgirl. Good, Kevin. Hot Lunch, sure, she likes that. Donkey Punch, uh huh. Glass-bottom boat. Good one, yes. Fish-eye. Good, Jenny. Chili dog. Mm-hm.

Every social conservative just loves a sex scandal, since he/she is so uptight they would never be able to enjoy sex itself.

Success for these narrow-minded women-haters is the maximum amount of emotional damage be caused by their reactions to what they consider "dur-dee" sex.  Especially if kids are involved. They want to ensure they have lots of customers down the road for their sacred for-profit prison system.

And people voting for these yee-haws are only enabling them.

Generally, you can accurately replace "para-" with "wannabe". See: paramedic, paralegal and so on.

If it turns out those kindergarteners were playing doctor, I sure hope they're tried as adults for rape and wind up on the permanent sex offender list. Because we must protect the children from the constant, imminent threat of rapey pedophiles, no matter what age.

/Statutory rape for masturbators under the age of 17.

If this was just a case of kids playing doctor or the "show me yours and I'll show you mine" game, then I agree the reaction is way over the top.

But if something more serious *did* happen, then they need to find out how the kids learned how to do it. They could be doing to other children something that an adult did to them.

Me too.

I'd have a little friend be my receptionist, and she'd re-schedule their appointments at the last minute, and then send them confusing bills two months later.
