It was never about protecting women, it was about controlling them.

If you need to fill your quota for derp, I'm sure the comments section can help you out.

This was a particularly stupid one...

Just think, these women will actually have to think before giving it away frivolously. They may actually become better women and earn the respect of their menfolk. Abortions are just a way for to perpetuate the careless, irresponsible behavior of some women and their mates...

Because pregnancy is ONLY the fault of women, don'tchaknow?

I'm currently taking medication where, if I were to get pregnant, it would cause not only certain death to the fetus, but to my life, as well.  My husband and I take precautions but one night our precautions failed, and I went out the next day and got Plan B.  We didn't get pregnant, but if we had, we most certainly would have opted for abortion because of the great risk involved.  But I guess these a$$holes would have deemed me 'frivolous' by having sex with my own husband.  They never bother to think that maybe it's not just irresponsible women who get pregnant on accident.  Fark them all.

"Interesting" isn't the word I'd use. I don't know if English has a word for it, but it would be somewhere between "Infuriating" and "Unsurprising".

Question to fedora-lovers: If a woman is obligated to have sex with you if you buy her a drink, but women should keep their legs shut if they don't want to get pregnant, which takes precedence if you buy a drink for a woman who doesn't want to get pregnant?

In 1989, the chief spy for Al Qaeda Ali Mohammed is quoted on a US military video saying

"Without political domination Islam cannot survive."

Welcome to the Christian flavor of the same animal. The same beast.

Women aren't property of the state--they weren't drafted and they didn't enlist into some army of baby makers. And to the people who think it is some sort of patriotism to subjugate women into reproductive property, why don't you find some other way of showing how much you love this country?

/the documentary Triple Cross tells the story of Ali Mohammed. the saddest thing I've watched in years

Mikey1969: I like how the people who support this bill and other s like it act like a woman in need of medical care after something went wrong would be denied entry to the ER because the doctor "didn't have admitting privileges at that hospital". What a load of bullshiat. hey'd just let the woman bleed out on the sidewalk, I suppose?

Fark you, assholes.

Even better -- just like in the pre-Roe days, women who can't afford to slink off somewhere to get their abortions will be trying to do it themselves or they'll get one from someone who's not a medical professional. Then they'll get sick and possibly die from the resulting infection, for which they'll receive absolutely zero sympathy from these good Christian Texans.

There are reports that this is already happening more and more in Texas since they've started legislating clinics out of existence.

This will cost Texas dearly.

$10k birth at the hospital billed to Medicaid.

18 years of Food stamps.

12 years of free public education.

Ayup

As a pro-Life advocate I can only see this as a victory, not so much for me or people like me but certainly for the millions of innocent Americans who will not be slaughtered in the coming years.

proud to be living in Texas where sanity seems to be prevailing. One Murder Inc. clinic still open is one too many.
Eat that progressive libtards, and we're not done yet. Texas should be an abortion-free state so no more taxpayer money is wasted on killing our own. We know what's going on. How many of those millions killed so far would have grown up to vote Republican and not Demonat? So, eat that Dictator, we in Texas are stopping your madness. Good news for once, I'll take it.

Aaaaand I'm done.
