(Page Six)   What is it really like to be an overrated celebrity chef? Pretty awesome if it involves totally drunk threesomes in public at exclusive nightclubs   (pagesix.com) divider line 25

Oh no, he broke the vow of celibacy and good behavior that you must take before entering the restaurant world.

That's nice. Now pay your employees back wages, the years of back taxes/rent, and STOP BURNING DOWN YOUR RESTAURANTS!

Masshole...

Nah, it's actually a real thing.  The TV stuff is nonsense, but you get these guys who stop cooking and just go around opening new restaurants on someone else's nickel.

Nice work if you can get it, but there is a big difference between what Bobby Flay does and what Laurent Tourondel does.  It's one thing to open and manage a series of high-profile restaurants.  It's another to parachute in once a month and glad-handle some guests.

Not that I begrudge Flay his success.  There's more money in that and the TV stuff than in the restaurants.  He's taken an arguably basic set of skills and gone pretty much as far as anyone can go in his profession.

Dammit I need to figure out a way to become overrated tech support to celebrities and hook something like this up for myself.

If only IRL nerdy chicks where as hot as what the internet leads me to believe (I'm sure they'd say the same about us nerdy guys to be fair).

stonelotus:

Glad to see this has been covered.

I've never heard of Todd English before this article. According to his wiki, his Olives restaurant likes to burn down on occasion.

I am also confused as to how he became a "celebrity chef."

/I thought Guy Fieri was gay?

And today he's fifty years old, going on twenty
Don't look for the gray in his hair, you won't find any
And the sweet young things by his side
You know they understandddddddd
That he's middle aged crazy
Trying to prove he still can.............

He will have to run for Congress instead.

As a social media expert, rap artist, wedding planner, project manager I resent that.

Ate at his seafood restaurant in Boston, upon my ex boyfriend's sister request (I'm guessing she wanted a free meal, since her brother was a higher up at Staples and they hadn't seen each other in a while)Awful. Horrible. Crab cakes I could've easily made at home, his chowder was really cheap tasting.

Hot nerdy chicks do exist, very very rare though. Like finding a non-Christian fundamentalist at Pepperdine who has an IQ above 80.

The "dupe" thread that was later redlit had over 60 posts.  Shouldn't it at least have been merged in?
