Did he bring his magic murder bag?

Hey! It's Henry Kissinger! He won the Nobel Peace prize for abandoning known American POWs in Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, and any other number of places in SE Asia.

Thanks, Henry! You're a real patriot!

I think at this point Ukraine should just let Crimea go... Russia should consider instead of them joining Russia, to let them be a fully independent nation.

Then Ukraine should formally join the EU and NATO, since Putin seems to be pushing them into doing that at this point anyhow.

when he does die, someone better bring a cross, stake and mirror to the funeral home just to be sure.

He did, but Colbert had him re-animated for his music video this summer.  So he's back.

It much easier to point to the widely reported stories that Kissinger took baths in the blood of African babies on a daily basis.

God, that was terribly written. Just one long awkward collection of meaningless jargon-filled phrases and over-simplified history with almost no actual policy prescriptions beyond the vague and obvious.

"polyglot composition" "bureaucratic dilatoriness"

Take a lesson from Orwell, you pompous ass: Never use a long word where a short one will do.

If you ever drop your Crimea into a river of molten Russian lava, let it go, because man, it's gone.

I, like, I suspect, most decent people, find the idea that this despicable... individual... will spend the rest of his life free and in luxury when it is a known fact that he casually murdered millions of people by proxy, unconscionable. Even the idea that such a person is my "fellow man" makes me feel sullied.

This is why I think people like Henry Kissinger are the original motivator behind belief in Hell and the Devil. It may require acceptance of the Just Universe fallacy, but it would be wonderful to believe that that bastard will be sent to the Bad Place forever for his crimes, or that he's not even human (with the implication that I could be like that too), is a lot more pleasant than reality. The set of "times when Henry Kissinger is in my thoughts" is a subset entirely contained within the set of "times when I wish I weren't an atheist."

physt: Wait... is this guy still alive or did someone leave the door to hell open?

They touch on this in Pirates of the Caribbean: "A man so evil that Hell itself spat him out..."

If you let even one American put on trial for war crimes, what to stop them putting all the others in trial for committing similar acts?

How about "not committing similar acts"? That might go a long ways towards not being put on trial for war crimes.

You kind of have to when you place economic interests over human lives to the degree Kissinger did.

Meh, for a supposed giant of foreign policy there wasn't much in the way of insight there, mostly overblown rhetoric.

Admittedly, I was disappointed that it wasn't a longer, more in-depth article, but Kissinger must be 147 years old by now.

He should've saved the effort and just written "I'm still relevant!" in size 80 font.

We are all familiar with what Kissinger has done and is responsible for.  He also hasn't been a relevant public voice in decades, and no amount of Fark hand-wringing is going to put him on trial either.

You know how you always consistently downplay republican malfeasance yet say it never actually happens.

This is one of those times it's happening.
