Now that was a thing of beauty.

I'm not sure why that was hilarious.  But that was hilarious.

I don't know if "glorious" is the word I'd use.  To me it's more "Pootie Tang" but different strokes for different folks and all that jazz.

This theory sorta makes sense to me and would be a great way to wrap up a lot of the questions left (Marty's daughter being possibly sexually abused etc).

Good theory, but the problem I have with that and similar theories is that if Hart all of a sudden facepalms and realizes his daughter went to a Tuttle school, that's going to seem pretty ridiculous. I don't see how they make Marty's daughter a victim of the cult without either an enormous revelation about Marty, or else turning Marty 1000 times more oblivious about family than he seems now.

I feel bad that in a buzzfeed interview, Nic Pizzolatto says that Rust's life hasn't particularly good because I'd been thinking that being a cop, doing all this undercover drugs and gun shiat, finding cults and killing them, working in Alaska for 10 years on boats, kicking around town in a beat to ship pickup drinking beer and bartending while doing more undercover cult investigation shiat, well, I was thinking that sounded pretty groovy.

Also, wouldn't it be a bit problematic that Rust would know of Hart's daughter's abuse and not tell him anything about it?

No.

At the risk of sounding like a recluse, exactly what type of show is Community? I love Joel McHale and have always found him funny, but with no cable I am woefully (fortunately?) behind the times with the shows.

/cuz most of them suck
//until I can pick-n-pay the channels that I watch, no cable 4 me

It's a rather funny show on network television, all the more rare an entity, so you're fine sans cable. Worth your watching time, even the "gas leak" season from last year.

She's either a terrible actress and her character has no further surprises for us.

Or she's a great actress and that all-too-cool composure she puts on is practiced... and hiding something terrible.

She seems to NEED to be honest with her husband about her infidelity. This doesn't mean she doesn't keep other secrets, but seems like odd behavior for a woman alleged is the key to the entire mystery.

/we'll find out soon enough sunday, which seems like an eternity away

Thanks for the info, but I was curious about the show's format. I get that it is comedy, but is it a skit program? A sitcom? Just wondering :)

She has to.  It's the only reason to have her still hanging around.

When Marty visited in episode 7, the pic of his daughter has a drawing beside it with black stars.

That's got to be something.

I don't think she's a terrible actress, but rather the character isn't written to the level as the main characters.  And where are you getting this stuff that she's the key to the entire mystery, other than from the wild speculation?

Community is a sitcom, The Soup is a skit/"make fun of other shows" show.

That True Detective bit was funnier than any snl parody I've seen in years.

For as wonderfully done as most of the show is, I thought aging Woody looked like a dude wearing a basketball and aging Maggie was pretty fun too, just give her some very loose pantsuits.

I haven't been watching as closely as perhaps I should have. How did aging Maggie get such a nice house?

Aging Maggie reminds me of 80 year old former mother in law, same pants, same house.

I'm not saying she's THE key.  I'm saying she knows who abused Audrey and is protecting them. She want so know what Rust is up to.  She knows.  I've posted in other TD threads about what I've seen in her character that tells me that.  Not up to repeating :)

I can definitely see it. I wasn't as onboard with the idea a few days ago as I am now.

I hope it's not a herring because I'm starting to think we have a real "what the fark is in the farking box?!" moment coming for Woody.
