8lbs of marijuana is only worth $12,000?

Legalization in Washington and Colorado has really done a number on street prices.

Score.

Great, now all you weed heads are going to be tearing up your spares.

If it was thumping, it was bundled up tight and probably some schwaggy stuff so they'd be lucky to get that much.

I'm talking street value here. 8lbs is verging on half a million bucks.

Certainly a strange way to distribute. Maybe a brlliant way to transport, but the mules going through Dallas only have the order to remain in the right lane, which they mive into even when it's clear they go away in a thousand feet.

If only she had learned to change her own tires...

2014-03-06 02:22:24 AM
Let's do the math boys... 1/8 of decent stuff =$50 so one ounce equals $400... 16 oz in a pound so that is $6400 a pound so 8lbs is worth roughly $51,200 and that's street value... Cop math would put that about $250,000 wouldn't you think???

Must have been some Mexican ditch weed to be that cheap in cop math...

2014-03-06 02:25:37 AM
By their math they have it going for just under $12 an eighth... That's gotta be some nasty farkin stuff... No wonder they left that shizz in the tire...

My new car arrived with NO SPARE at all-- and it is a relatively high end car.  Something about run-flat tires.

No, I'm thinking when somebody breaks into your car to steal stuff, now the only thing missing will be your spare tire.  And, you probably won't notice it's gone until you get a flat.

/"so you had a flat, well how about that'

Nothing to do with run flat tires.. It's all about the money they get for tire replacements and the cost of a rim when your run flat flys right the fark off the rim when it gets deflated... Seen it happen on too many occasions with BMW and Mercedes sedans

Probably a fix-a-flat under the car seat. It saves weight, which helps on fuel economy ratings.

O.on8 pounds of weed for only $12k?    I think you might be better off smoking the tire it was packed in.

In Ohio (where the car was) mids are 20ish an 1/8th street value. You get a volume discount if you get an ounce.(usually a couple blunts worth or $5off) I haven't purchased more than an ounce ever but would think they probably extend the discount a bit more if you are purchasing a pound or two. At 20 an eighth a pound is $2560. I would strongly guess that with crud brick weed and volume discount the price for ei ght pounds is reasonable lower end but reasonable.

I can see everyone else noticed this. Given my previous experience with cop math I figured they found an old tied up baggie with 3/4 of an ounce.  I'm guessing they left off a zero?

I found a joint behind the A-Pillar of one of my previous cars when I was doing some wiring... but never any 8 pounds of bud.

I'm surprised the police didn't confiscate the car.

Most women get a spare tire free.
then blame it on the pregnancy.

My older Farmer relative was biatching about having to spend extra for a full sized spare, citing if he had a flat, living wat out in the country, he's expected to put a donut spare on?

Also, after driving through tghe Ft. Stockton, ElPaso area, the DPS stops some of those traveling slowly from the border, and one told me they pull over a lot of vehicles with drugs in the tires. Ther've been times I thought I was really speeding, the cops told me I was going the wrong way, so they weren't even looking for speeders like me.

Remember, it's all about s$$afety.

A lot of you seem somewhat spoiled with good weed.  Back in the '90s a pound (of Mexican brick) would be about $800-1000 maybe even less if you bought in bulk,

I really don't think weed prices have gone up that much, it's just that most of us now get high quality stuff that is more expensive.

If I had 8 pounds of pot, there's no way I'm going to sell it an 8th (or even an ounce) at a time so I'm not going to get $50,000 for it.  This actually sounds like it could be a reasonable valuation.

Could be worse, you could have an underneath spare in the north.  The steel cable rust out and your spare just falls off one day.

/I thought they were finally getting us the price for trunk monkey

The maths have been covered, no incriminating posts by me are needed.

dammit, they're onto us!

//that's how it's distributed to cities without the weather to actually grow it.  The car's VIN and lic. plate number is noted, and men trained to spot these and silently break into a vehicle obtain the goods.  At any given time there are maybe a thousand cars with these sleeper-deliveries around the country.  waiting for someone to notice and come retrieve the.

wait... only 8 pounds?  I call bullshiat.  a LOT more of it fits in the tires when we load them.
