It was an adorable moment and Neymar and his team-mates handled it fantastically, but someone's getting their ass fired regardless. Security is supposed to be airtight at these sort of things.

I thought this at first, but I really don't think it'll lead to too many more cases. I think if this kid was five years older it would have been a completely different story and you don't see too many toddlers storming the pitch.

Children are sneaky, turn your back for one second and they're sticking things in electrical sockets and storming international soccer games.

Sure, but a breach is a breach, especially when the players on the field (at least the ones in the yellow shirts) are worth $100s of millions.

I've experienced it both ways at soccer games; when I shoot certain J-League clubs I'm so familiar w/ the staff that I don't even have to show my accreditation to get my bib/pass and often there's no security to speak of. But when I was a photographer at the '12 Club World Cup it was a totally different story; gotta submit your passport information to even apply for press credentials, then you gotta have your pass AND your bib AND your match ticket or they don't let you anywhere near the pitch entrance. And they watch you like hawks.

The Brazillian players have always seemed to embrace the fans more than most nationalities. Maybe it is because of their own memories of being a young child idolizing former players then going home to less than favorable conditions. Football is a way out of the ghetto and giving children hope is one of the reasons that football exists.

Unfortunately Brad got voice mail as Neymar was up to his eyeballs in hot Brazilian ass from this event.

Most places give out a trophy or medal when your team wins. In South Africa, they give you an orphan. :P
