I'm a Rams fan, and I'm okay with this. Diminishing skills, and sub-par character, means Cortland simply isn't someone I want on the team, especially at the pay he was about to receive. I saw on ESPN earlier that he might return to the Rams at a much cheaper price, should no other team pick him up as a free agent, but I'm hoping that doesn't happen. We would be better off with a younger player who isn't quite as dirty as Finnegan is.

Amen.  I watch Seattle, and I have to say that Finnegan is a cock.  In Tennessee, he could at least back up his offensive (according to players) talk.  But when that's all he has left, it's time to think about retiring.

Yeah, when the biggest stat on your resume is most personal fouls, I don't think you have much staying power.  The only reason he was on the Rams was kos Jeff Fuller begged and begged his bosses to bring him over.  Renegotiate his contract and let him earn a spot on the field with the adults.

The greatest thing about that situation was that the league essentially said "I'm okay with this" and only fined Andre Johnson 25k. If that was any other player getting beat down, he definitely would've been suspended at least one game.

He wasn't going to get paid $9M to talk trash to WR's who just blew past him. I would still ove to see him go head to head with Dez Bryant to see who's head explodes first.

he was a good corner with Tennessee, but started diminishing even before the Dre beatdown... of course Fisher has a hard-on for former Titans players, so i expect him to grab Verner (who is a more reliable corner than Finnegan was anyways imo)

but yeah those late '00's Titans were the complete opposite of the McNair/George era - guys like Albert Haynesworth, Innegan being coached by Jim "handshakegate" Schwartz? what a team

The audio from a few plays before is gold.  They are locked together for a running play, Andre drives him backward.

Andre tells him " Don't get frustrated!!!.... You know,  You know i'm gonna tear your ass up!!"

Love that joke. Cortland had to change his last name to Innegan because Andre Johnson beat the F out of him.
