I was pleasantly surprised to see them touting the benefits of Olympic lifts. I've started incorporating them more and more in my own workouts because they're such an efficient way of working a huge number of muscle groups at the same time.

Yep.

Plus, bone density.

That was actually pretty damn interesting.  They didn't say anything too ridiculous and gave some good tips (eat simple, hit the pool).  I'm impressed.

This will not make you an MMA fighter, but it's a great exercise routine and way less annoying than that fake enthusiasm plastic-smiling Tony Horton.

Well, the rewards of exercising like an MMA fighter, is that you might land a girl like Christy Mack.

I will say that the elevation mask is a great tool, but it isn't for everyone. I used it in training for my last fight when I was doing my bike rides, and holy hell did it help. You have to get over the "you look like a serial killer" thing, but other than that, it's one hell of a workout and it helped me get some serious lung power to go past the 10th round.

The train wreck known as War Machine.  Yes that's his name, he legally changed it.

They forgot the TRT injections, too, though.  Be careful of overtraining.

Although if your real name was Warren Machine, it totally works.

Most supplements don't do anything and are a waste of money. The only ones that work usually end up banned (except creatine)

Yes I know this, but go read those muscle magazines which really are just pages of ads for myoplex and whatever else it is they want you to buy which does nothing but make you fart

I honestly doubt the particulars of any given training regimen are really all that important for the vast majority of people.

Joe Citizen can probably pick any old set of exercise DvDs off the shelf and be fine so long as he actually sticks with it.

That last part is the hitch.

Energy drinks actually do something, just now what the muscleheads think.  All those amino acids and shiat they hype?   A lot of those are produced by your body naturally, and by saturating your system with them artificially it causes the body to reduce or outright stop producing them temporarily which in turn screws up your system after they get flushed out next time you take a piss.  It's one of the reasons people can't stop taking the damn things.

And yeah, supplements are BS.  Get some vitamin drops(liquid is absorbed better than pills) and drink your milk, you'll be fine.

You don't actually have to have rhabdomyolysis to be overtrained. Are you in the gym frequently, but you're slow to see results, feel kinda crummy, and you seem to be injured a lot? You're overtrained.

Yah.  I think they had to interview guys training in the UK. Presumably, Bisping wouldnt take the call.

I wouldnt really call those two gents as workout-warriors.  I would have been way more interested to hear from GSP, Koschek or even Sean Sherk...what's that guy up to lately?
