This merger strikes double at my breast! They have permanently pressed my anger at reducing competition in the discount suit market. They may have hit me once, but they shall receive three free in return. They will not look back on this day well -- they will be upset. Nay! Rue! I guarantee it.

Wouldn't make sense to combine them. While both are 'off the rack'; MW is on the 'barely acceptable' end while JAB is a step or two below bespoke

If you're paying $700 for a suit at Jos Bank, you're an idiot -- or in desperate need of a suit in the next five minutes.

This, many times over.  If you drop $700 at Jos A Bank, you should be taking home 3 or 4 suites, depending on the deal they're running that week.

They're going to make a fortune selling 4-button 3-piece suits to NFL analyst/personalties.

I liked Men's Warehouse, they were the place to go for pants that would actually fit in both directions (length and width).  I bought my last few suits and sports coats there and have not been disappointed.  Plus I miss the cheesy commercials.

So is this like a Comcast-Time Warner deal in the men's clothing world?

That means the fabric gets flimsier, the thread gets thinner and the dyes get runnier.

Gee, what's not to love?

I was just wondering if the fashionable button count was up again.

I don't keep on top of fashion as I used to..

I hope it came with $400 cash in one of the pockets. You can get a passable suit at these two stores if you have it carefully tailored, but you shouldn't expect to pay get a great suit no matter what it costs at any discount retailer.

// Especially not one that regularly advertises BUY ONE SUIT GET THREE FREE

Mens Warehouse, because even atrocious suits need a home.
