Billy Dee Williams  taking a role in Episode VII will be awesome, douchebagmitter.

The season could be interesting for the number of cameltoes Danica MacKellar will grace America with.

I think the key takeaway from Billy Dee's career is that if you are on the path to super stardom, you shouldn't be doing adverts for low end market products.

Hey, those Colt 45 ads were cool back in the day!  Lando shilling beer... as a six-year-old I wanted it, but my parents told me it wasn't for kids.

Will he also beat up his dance partner?

Not when she sees that giant "A" tattooed on his face.

I guess they were impressed by his little maneuver at the Battle of Taanab.

True, but Subby's headline says Episod VIII, and as we all know the second movie in a Star Wars trilogy is always a huge let-down.

I wouldn't mind if they made use of Lando's Nomad City on film, just to see it in action.  An old dreadnought cruiser, mounted on 4 Imperial Walkers, walking on the dark side of a world that's way too close to it's sun, so they can conduct mining operations without moving onto the hot side and getting vaporized.

I believe he will pop up in VII. He's not a blabbermouth like Hamill & Fisher.

Honestly, of all the spin-off talk, the only ones I wouldn't mind seeing are the adventures of a young Lando.

You can't spin-off young Han Solo.  It's a mistake.

But young Lando in the Star Wars Universe?  I'd be all over that!!!

(Hell, his cameo MADE the Lego movie!)

Han will have that shield down!  We gotta give him more time!

I don't see why not. It worked well enough for Indiana Jones.

I don't know.  In my head Han Solo is too iconic to use.  There really is no difference I guess.  But I figure we know so little about Lando.

(Plus, there's gotta be something to him.  Dude did nothing and became a general overnight!  Betrayed his friend, tried to help rescue him, fell in a hole and his blind friend had to save HIM!  Other than that maneuver at the Battle of Taanab, I'm not sure why they keep this guy around!)

Credits, and Charisma. Works every time.

I never got around to reading the old Lando Calrissian trilogy from the early 80s, but a later one about young Han Solo said that he taught Lando how to pilot a ship. (using the Falcon, with Han trying to hide how much he wanted it)  Lando was more of a professional gambler and con-artist, doing just a little smuggling.  And both of them participated in the battle of Nar Shaddaa; when the local Moff wanted to make himself look tough on crime and not at all a puppet of the Hutts, he sent a small fleet to destroy the 'Smuggler's Moon', but Han and Lando led a defensive force, as they didn't think everyone there deserved to die.

I read "Han Solo at Stars' End" 100 years ago but I couldn't tell you one thing about it now

I have the Han Solo trilogy.. or had; been missing the third book for years.

Stars' End was about a secret Corporate Sector Authority prison, where all prisoners were kept in stasis.

And I read Death Troopers a couple of years ago (which was a Star Wars Zombie Book) and I don't want to give out any spoilers, but a character from the movies is IN it and you would think they would have mentioned zombies to the rest of the gang at SOME point!

I don't think that hurt him. What blew his chance to be a multiple-franchise star was when Joel Schumacher replaced Tim Burton on Batman Forever and decided not to keep Billy Dee Williams as the Harvey Dent who briefly appeared in Burton's Batman. Billy Dee was contracted to play Two-Face in a sequel and had to be paid in full despite not appearing.

Hmmm... I see there's going to be some Olympians there...

Ice dancers Charlie White and Meryl Davis went for gold and nabbed it in Sochi, but will the Olympic darlings have as much luck in their quest for a mirror ball trophy?

I wonder if they realize that the US isn't going to bribe the Dancing with the Stars judges.

Sorry, I should have been clearer that I was being sarcastic. On rereading I realize that could easily be taken at face value.

You say that like there is already more than 1 Star Wars trilogy.

Interesting for two (okay, four) reasons: Candace Cameron Bure and Danica McKellar.

/also watch Sean Avery block the view of Bruno while he's trying to watch the other couples.

Blasphemy. That was the only non-suck EU stuff (Zahn)

I am going out on a limb here and saying that the two Sochi gold medal winning ice "dancers" are going to have a slight edge in this one.

With hundreds of stories over the past twenty-five years or so, there are gonna be hits and misses. I just didn't like it when we had books coming out that just jumped around the whole timeline. You would read one series, the Thrawn Trilogy for example, and then the next book would take place three years earlier! Got too confusing. The later series that had an overall story arc I think did better. I liked the New Jedi Order series, Legacy I thought was a bit weak but has some interesting stories, and I'm currently reading the Fate of the Jedi series which I have really been enjoying. I have especially liked how Luke's and Ben's relationship has grown to almost where instead of father and son, they are almost partners now.

It's sad that it's all ended now and soon will be rendered null and void when Episode VII comes out.
