Gays can be sneaky that way.

2014-03-03 06:19:45 PM
Dammit!  How did he get a hold of the latest addition to the Gay AgendaTM?

We'll just have to go back to demonic possession of girl scout cookies, my Fellow Fabulous Americans.

Just like those shifty Negroes did when they got equal protection.

2014-03-03 06:20:15 PM
It should be painful to be this stupid.  Like, pounding headaches everytime you thought something as profoundly moronic as this line of reasoning.

/I know I'd do a lot fewer dumb things

So, some person could claim to be gay so as to trick someone into treating them the same as everyone else...  wait, what?

2014-03-03 06:21:03 PM
Well, to be fair, people usually enjoy it when this guy comes up with scary fiction.

Uppity folk don't like being called shifty.

It's all that fat up there that slows things down and cushions against those pounding-headache warnings.

He has a good point about the potential Mindcrimes that people could be prosecuted for.  Between King and Queensryche, I'm sure they can figure it out.

"perfect special rights for self-professed behavior."

This is inter-galactic grade derp.

2014-03-03 06:30:20 PM
"And the one thing I referenced when I say 'self-professed,' how do you know who to discriminate against?" he said. "They about have to tell you. And are they then setting up a case, is this about bringing a grievance or is it actually about a service that they'd like to have?"

'Seriously,' he continued, 'Do you know how tough it is for a bigot out here these days? Used to be you could just look. That that is not a white fella, boys, we got us some discrimination to do right here. Listen, that fella's talking' Spanish, there you go. But these gays, now, who the hell knows whether you got one of them on your hands? I mean ho-lee shiat there's some gotdamn homosexuals in the N-F-L these days. Or so they say. So what am I s'posed to do, ask 'em? The WHOLE POINT is not to have to deal with 'em and now I got to have a gotdamn conversation just to FIND OUT if I should be not servicin' them or, I don't even know. This here shiat is confusing. Why cain't everyone be straight like before. We all like a little sex with men now and again but nobody had to run around "I'm gay! I'm gay!" about it, trying to trick folks into discriminating against the wrong folks. It just ain't right.'

meatofmystery: how do these f*ckheads get jobs outside of shoveling sh*t on a pig farm?

They slowly worked their way up from the farms,  now they shovel it for their constituents.

Sooooo then...Christianity is a self professed behavior..hey does anyone have a slice of cake!?!

2014-03-03 06:31:47 PM

nmrsnr: Remember, Steve King also thinks that a "sexual predator can pick that girl off the playground at the middle school and haul her across the state line and force her to get an abortion to eradicate the evidence of his crime, and bring her back and drop her off at the swing set, and that's not against the law in the United States of America."

So... yeah.

He also thinks that because humans box dogfighting is OK.

Seriously, f*ck Steve King with a rusty chainsaw.

2014-03-03 06:32:55 PM
I'd attempt to follow his logic path, but I want to preserve what is left of my two remaining brain cells. Instead, I merely want him to ESAD, and pray that his replacement actually has two functioning brain cells.

For a "straight" man, the representative seems awfully obsessive about man-on-man butt sex.

2014-03-03 06:33:35 PM
So, these folks are OK with businesses denying services to people because their religion is against gays/Muslims/what ever. Does that mean he would back up a business denying services to certain Christians because they are bigoted assholes?

All I got out of the article is that Rep King is interested in turning gay tricks... or something like that.

2014-03-03 06:36:21 PM
King has a point. How could a business know you're gay if you don't tell them? I mean, sure, the requested two grooms at the top of the cake might mean your gay, but if you don't say anything, they won't know! When you order flowers for your wedding, it may be standard practice to include both parties' names for the order, but you could just use initials, and they'd never know. We just need to institute a Don't Ask; Don't Tell policy for gay weddings. It worked so well in the military!

ALEC.

Slight correction there.

I kinda want to troll the GOP and run for office in Alabama on the platform of separate drinking fountains for gays, creating a Department of Jewish, Gypsy of Homosexual Affairs that they'd all have to register with, force them to wear a pink triangle, etc. to see if I can force my opponents in the GOP primary to move to the left of me.

Yes, would gay proprietors enjoy these same "...God-given rights that our founding founders defined in the Declaration [of Independence]"?

According to TFA, it's the corn-fed cornhole acrobat from Iowa.

Steve King is a bigot. Plain and simple. If you do not want to extend the same rights given to every other American, you are a bigot. Period.

2014-03-03 06:44:05 PM
"When we get into the area of even hate crimes legislation, I've opposed that, because you're punishing people for what you think went on in their head at the time they perpetuated a crime," he later added.

I think he just invalidated all Stand Your Ground laws.

2014-03-03 06:44:48 PM
I know that the author of TFA is clueless, Subby, but surely you know that anti-discrimination laws get their authority from the interstate commerce clause, and not the equal protection clause, don't you?

Unless you want to extend the right to freedom of association to every American. In that case, you're a bigot if you DO want to extend rights to everybody.

Doublethink, how does it work?

Why would gays not get the exact same protections under the law that straight people enjoy?

Me neither. My only relief is that he no longer represents my home town, thanks to redistricting.

Now, if only the limpdicks at the IA Democratic Party would wage a decent campaign and candidate against him.

Satanic_Hamster: Couldn't businesses get around the cunning plans of the gays by....  Not discriminating against them?

Oh, please, like they could do that!  All successful business owners are good Christians. You can tell because if their business is successful, it's because Jesus - the good, anti-gay Jesus - wanted it that way.

In all seriousness, though, the various bills that have come up recently make me wonder if we need this much fuss to defend the supposed religious rights of a few bigoted assholes?  I'm sure the vast majority of business owners don't give a crap about what their customers do in the bedroom. This is not a huge problem.  Well, okay - it's not a real problem at all. But even the jerkoffs having a "problem" have got to be far and few between.

King said LGBT individuals are trying to "perfect special rights for self-professed behavior."

Like religion?

"And the one thing I referenced when I say 'self-professed,' how do you know who to discriminate against?" he said.

Indeed. Against whom should you discriminate?

There will be no justice until every business refuses every service to everyone for every reason.

When King talks, he's not talking to you or me or anyone who's sane. No. These comments are meant for the ears of the inbred Teahadists that keep voting for him. He knows he's running a HUGE scam on America by being a politician with all the perks that such a position brings. As long as there are stupid people in the country, King will have this job for as long as he damn well likes.
