If a church near me has one of those give-aways, I'll go be bored for an hour or two for a chance at winning a a gun.
Even a cheap shotgun is a couple of hundred bucks.

DarkSoulNoHope: Are Jews trying to convert firearms owners to Judaism with this group?

Sure they are on some level.  Why would it even have the word 'Jew' in it if it was not?  If you look at the group, is not exclusively Jewish.

I said "Religion" not "Entity". You're trying to find anyway to continue your troll tactics I see.

Then your reading comprehension is as bad as your logic.  My point is that many religions do this as well and that you can carry this arguement over into other entities as well.

Yes, but how does that map correlate with Christian conservatives.

I was originally confronted with the existence of armed Christians when working in Tennessee. Almost everybody at the plant I was at drove a pickup truck and most of those trucks had a visible gun rack. At the same time a sizeable number of the plant workers, most of whom would have owned one of those trucks with a gun rack, met for Bible reading sessions during their breaks.   It was a bit of a culture shock for this non-gun owning, non-religious Canadian.

A slightly less big shock was spotting a personnal ad on the company bulletin board for a 9mm Luger with ammo box, only fired once.

And here is a non-christian religious group trying to court potential members with a more 'progressive' message to counterbalance the standard stereotypes.

In any case, you get the point.  You don't have to like Christianity, but for anyone to suggest that religion does not have to (or shouldn't) cater a message to the population, is not be thinking very clearly.

No, you are trying to continue to attempt to change and twist my words to fit your logic. Those Jews aren't trying to convince the Christians (or anyone of any other religion or non-belief) of that group to join Christianity, unlike the Christian group here that is giving away guns to attempt to get converts, and the person in the video specifically spells out that giving out guns to gain converts is their goal! As I said, Christianity is the only religion to use these "See, we are just like you." tactics to gain followers and tithes. Plus, if you want to go all grammar police on me with your post, which disagrees with my use of quotation marks. "Argument" is spelled as such.

That is a Muslim group that has liberal ideas and attempts to reconcile that with their own faith, that group is not attempting to convert non-Muslims to Islam. Nor are they pretending that their religious beliefs are different than they are, in order to lure people to convert them. Again and again you attempt to put up a troll argument that gets put down just as fast. Keep trying, you might actually get tired.

No doubt. Yet I never see them despite living in a fairly rural and working in a very rural area, probably because guns and ammunition have to be transported in separate, locked cases. The ownership of hunting rifles is pretty common, but they just aren't seen as part of everyday life. Handguns and non-hunting rifles are a different, and more complicated, issue. They cannot, for example, be transported from point A to point B without a specific authorization to do so. Most owners simply keep theirs at a shooting range. And they cannot be bought and sold without a permit. Under these circumstances, you can imagine that selling one via the company bulletin board is an unlikely proposition.

The culture shock came as a result of how common and ordinary gun ownership, including handguns, is for our southern neighbours. I've worked in or visited many parts of the US, yet for me Tennessee was the first time where the presence of guns in peoples' lives was so obvious.  I swear that in my many decades on this Earth, that was the one and only time I ever saw a personnal ad for a handgun.

Hey look, you're only 53 minutes behind me pointing out my own mistake on this thread. Also, no they aren't trying to push or trick anyone into becoming Jewish (in fact, Judaism is one of the religions that not only doesn't seek out converts, but also makes sure you will accept all of the beliefs and practice the faith properly before you officially convert). Time and again HeadLever, you just troll, you have no coherent argument to make here and just pull stuff out of your ass. The closest you ever came to actually proving your point would be that single "Jews for Allah" wordpress site, except the problem is that it is a single, empty website with no support from any Muslim institution or group. Christians, however, have lead a dedicated and well funded effort to convert people to their religion (especially groups like Jews for Jesus or "Messianic Judaism" which mimics everything that a synagogue does, except adds in the polytheistic trinity in it's doctrine, so you don't know you're really walking into a Christian church) using fraud and deception. Sometimes through honesty, but most of the time it's just a group of fundamentalists who change their appearance (and sometimes their doctrine) to mask their religion to make it more palatable for others who wouldn't otherwise consider becoming a Christian. No matter how many times you try to change what I say, I will reiterate that, "Christianity is the only religion that changes it's appearance or even it's doctrine to gain converts."

You're a trolling moron, plain and simple. Go to an Orthodox synagogue and go to the Rabbi, say "I want to become Jewish" and see how far you'll get. You'll also notice that there are no pamphlets in the synagogue that say "Become Jewish or be damned", no fake money tracts to trick a person into "stopping your evil ways" by becoming Jewish, and no comic book tracts telling fictional stories about people not knowing they're doing "evil things" (like practicing a different religion, or freely enjoying your own personality, or some other Chick tract nonsense) until they get convinced to become Jewish.

You've lost the argument and now you're just retorting stupidity without showing any facts (btw, did you even look at that "Jews for Allah" website before posting "lol, no"? I bet you didn't you moron.) to your trollish claims.
